MEXICO CITY.- Last weekend a black bear attacked a woman in a restaurant Hotel Chipinque in San Pedro Garza GarcíaNuevo León.
It was reported that the incident occurred last Saturday, November 2.
In the video the animal is observed eating the food who are at the table, while the couple who was eating remains still so as not to provoke him. In addition, some men are seen trying to push him away with sticks.
Seconds later, the bear hits with both front legs in the face of the womanwho only manages to try to turn his head away. After the attack, the couple manages to get up from their seats and the bear walks away from the place while a man chases him with a stick. No injuries were reported.
The video caused surprise among social media users, although there were those who They justified the incident pointing out that it is because the bear’s habitat is being invaded.

Chipinque Park clarifies incident with bear in hotel
The General Directorate of Parks and Wildlife of the Government of Nuevo León reported that, for the preservation of the animal and the protection of citizens, they will relocate the black bear (Ursus americanus) in a healthy and safe place.
Through a statement, I specify that this specimen shows a habituation behaviorapproaching the human in search of food, and due to this reason they must rescue him.
The agency pointed out that the hotel where the events were recorded did not inform or seek support, they found out through the media.
In addition, Parks and Wildlife said it was concerned about the increase in these types of incidents at the hotel. An inspection is being analyzed to determine if the company is in compliance with regulations regarding the protection and conservation of wildlife.

It was clarified that the Hotel Chipinque operates independently and is not part of the park administration, however, due to its location within the protected area, its collaborators have been invited to participate in training in wildlife management to promote the safety of visitors and the fauna itself.
