Several waves of attacks by Russian drones rocked the Ukrainian capital Kiev during the night. “The attack on the capital with UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles, note) continues,” writes Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram. The air defense is deployed in various parts of the city. “(Drones) are entering the capital from different directions.”

Eyewitnesses report a series of explosions that indicate the use of air defense systems. There is an air alert for Kiev, the surrounding region and most of the Ukrainian territory.

Meanwhile, according to the Defense Ministry in Moscow, Russian air defenses fended off 39 Ukrainian drones over seven regions overnight. The ministry announced on its Telegram channel that 24 of them were destroyed over the Rostov region in southern Russia.
