**Interview with Vitali Klitschko, Mayor of Kyiv**
**Interviewer**: Thank you for joining us today, Mayor Klitschko. Can you describe the situation in Kyiv following the recent wave of Russian drone attacks?
**Klitschko**: Thank you for having me. The situation remains tense. Last night, Kyiv was targeted by multiple waves of drone strikes, which resulted in a series of explosions across the city. Our air defense systems were activated, and they worked tirelessly to intercept incoming threats. While our defenses managed to thwart many attacks, the unpredictability of these drones presents ongoing challenges for us.
**Interviewer**: Eyewitnesses reported hearing a number of explosions during the attacks. What measures are being taken to ensure the safety of Kyiv’s residents?
**Klitschko**: We have deployed air defense units throughout the city to mitigate the threat. Additionally, we have issued alerts to keep people informed and encouraged them to remain cautious and follow safety protocols. The safety of our citizens is our highest priority, and we are constantly assessing and improving our defenses.
