With the deadline for the launch of the first vehicles with the new generation of CarPlay (indicated by Apple on its official website) is already running out in 2024, but a document indicates that Apple’s new infotainment system may be about to be finally launched.

As seen by MacRumorsa record made in the European Union database shows images of the CarPlay interface with the company logo Audiwhich was one of the automakers that initially committed to adopting the new feature in its vehicles.

Announced in 2022, the new CarPlay has already been the subject of back and forth and even uncertainty. If, last year, manufacturers Aston Martin and Porsche released previews of the system in their vehicles, this year Mercede-Benz announced that it had given up on adopting it.

This year, Apple reaffirmed its commitment to the new CarPlay and showed more details about the system at WWDC24. It remains to be seen whether any manufacturer will launch a vehicle with the new feature this year-end — which would make Apple meet the promised deadline on time.
