In the questions and answers section of newsletter semanal “Power On” (which Bloomberg)the journalist Mark Gurman stated that the Apple has no significant plans for AirPods Max after the recent launch of the device with a USB-C port and new colors.
As seen by 9to5MacGurman highlighted that headphones do not sell enough to justify greater investments in technology by Apple. However, on the other hand, they are also not a big enough failure to be discontinued.
If you’ve ever been to a luxury gym in Los Angeles or New York, you can see that these $550 headphones have a market — even with the high price and outdated technology.
This means that, at least in the short term, anyone who is a fan of the AirPods Max should not see a version with a newer chip or with improved active noise cancellation — updates that are being made frequently to other AirPods lines.
AirTags with rechargeable battery? No!
Still in Q&A from the same column, as highlighted by MacRumorsGurman spoke about the possibility of the next generation of the AirTag having a rechargeable battery — an expectation that has been entertained by some tracker users in recent years.
According to the journalist, however, the “AirTag 2” will still feature a coin-shaped cell battery, just like the first (and current) generation of the product. In other words: it will not be possible to recharge it directly when its useful life ends.
