The application Daily (Journal) allows you to write and reflect on important moments you have experienced.
If you use this app and have writing suggestions turned on, know that you can use a trick that saves a suggestion so you can write about it later.
See how to do this procedure!
How to use the iPhone Journal app
With the Diary app open, authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. Then, tap the “+” (at the bottom of the screen) to see the suggested entries shown.
When you want to save one of them, keep your finger pressed on it and choose “Save without Writing”.
This way, the entry will be shown in your diary, allowing you to edit it later as you prefer — to do this, just tap on the three dots next to it and go to “Edit”.

What are the main features of the new Journal app that enhance user experience?
**Interview on the New Journal App Features**
**Host:** Welcome, everyone! Today we’re diving into the latest features of the Journal app, which is part of the exciting updates from Apple. We’re joined by tech enthusiast and columnist, Pedro Henrique Nunes, who recently explored how the Journal app enhances our daily reflections. Pedro, thank you for joining us!
**Pedro:** Thank you for having me! I’m excited to share insights about the Journal app and its new features.
**Host:** Let’s get right into it. What can you tell us about the Journal app and its main purpose?
**Pedro:** The Journal app is designed for individuals to document and reflect on important life moments. It encourages users to write down their thoughts and experiences, which can be incredibly therapeutic and beneficial for mental well-being.
**Host:** That sounds like a valuable tool. I’ve heard there are some new features, especially related to writing suggestions. Can you elaborate on that?
**Pedro:** Absolutely! One of the standout features is the writing suggestion tool. If you have this feature enabled, the app can provide prompts that might inspire you to write about your day or specific moments that stood out. What’s really interesting is that users can now save these prompts, allowing them to revisit and write about them at a later time. This is perfect for those moments when you might not have the time to write but want to make sure you don’t forget a great idea.
**Host:** That sounds incredibly user-friendly! How do users actually save these suggestions?
**Pedro:** It’s quite simple! When a suggestion pops up, users can tap to save it directly within the app. Later, they can return, review saved suggestions, and choose when to write about them. This feature is particularly helpful for busy individuals or those who find inspiration at unexpected times.
**Host:** What feedback have you heard from users who have tried this feature?
**Pedro:** Users have been really appreciative of how intuitive it is. Many note that it reduces the pressure of writing daily by providing manageable prompts, making journaling feel less daunting. It’s a great way to engage with one’s thoughts in a more relaxed manner.
**Host:** Great insights, Pedro! As a final question, how do you see the future of journaling apps evolving, especially with advancements in technology?
**Pedro:** I think as technology continues to evolve, journaling apps will become more personalized. We might see features that incorporate AI to analyze entries and provide tailored prompts based on user mood or interests. The goal will be to make reflection even more accessible and enriching.
**Host:** Thank you so much, Pedro, for sharing your expert insights! The Journal app seems like a wonderful tool for anyone looking to enhance their self-reflection practice.
**Pedro:** Thank you! I hope more people take advantage of it.
**Host:** That’s a wrap for today’s discussion on the Journal app. Stay tuned for more insights into tech tools that can improve our daily lives!
