How can golf courses implement effective training to prevent discrimination and harassment among their visitors?
**Interview with SL, the Victim of the Recent Attack at Pinamar Golf Course**
**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, SL. We understand you’ve gone through a distressing incident at the Pinamar golf course. Can you start by recounting what exactly happened that day?
**SL:** Thank you for having me. It was last Tuesday when I went to enjoy a peaceful afternoon with a friend. We were simply sitting and having some yerba mate when a woman practicing nearby started throwing golf balls in our direction. It felt strange, but we initially thought nothing of it.
**Interviewer:** That sounds unsettling. What happened next that escalated the situation?
**SL:** They seemed increasingly uncomfortable with our presence, and soon, I decided to approach them and discuss the rules of the game, hoping to resolve any misunderstandings. But instead of a civil conversation, I was met with violence. Out of nowhere, the woman attacked me with her golf club.
**Interviewer:** That’s horrific. Can you describe the attack itself?
**SL:** She struck me on the head, and the force of it made me dizzy. I didn’t expect it at all. After the first blow, she pulled out another stick and hit me again. It was brutal, and just to make it worse, she hurled racist insults at me, saying things like “Go away, rat” and claiming that I didn’t belong there.
**Interviewer:** This is an incredibly disturbing account. How has the incident affected you since?
**SL:** I’m still processing it. I feel violated and shaken. It’s painful to know that some people still harbor such negative attitudes towards others based on social origin. I just wanted to enjoy a day out, and now I have this traumatic memory.
**Interviewer:** Do you think there should be stronger measures in place at golf courses or similar venues to prevent such attacks?
**SL:** Absolutely. It’s essential for places that are supposed to be safe and relaxing environments to have strict policies against discrimination and violence. The management should be proactive in ensuring that all patrons feel welcome and protected.
**Interviewer:** Thank you for sharing your experience, SL. It’s important for the community to hear and understand what happened. We hope you find healing and that those responsible are held accountable.
**SL:** Thank you. I appreciate your support and the opportunity to speak out about this.
