A festive ribbon-cutting ceremony is set to commence at 8 a.m., signifying the start of a grand opening celebration that promises excitement with “swag bag” giveaways for the first 100 attendees. Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy delicious food from the renowned Bus Boy Mobile food truck from noon to 2 p.m., catering to the community’s appetite.
This grand opening not only highlights the local cannabis scene but also commemorates a significant milestone, as this location serves as the 100th RISE dispensary across the nation. Regular store hours will be from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day, ensuring accessibility for all customers.
The newly established shop boasts an impressive array of cannabis products, featuring popular items such as vapes and delectable edibles, catering to both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
In alignment with RISE Dispensary’s commitment to community support, it has been announced that all profits generated from the grand opening event will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, exemplifying the brand’s dedication to giving back.
RISE operates under the stewardship of Green Thumb Industries, a Chicago-based company renowned for its innovative approach to the cannabis industry. Green Thumb became an integral part of Nevada’s cannabis community in 2016 and currently boasts a production facility in Carson City, complemented by two additional facilities in Las Vegas. The company prides itself on maintaining the highest standards of quality in cultivation and production to ensure each product offers an authentic and consistent experience true to the plant.
Although an initiative spearheaded by Las Vegas-based Qualcan in 2022 led to the exploration of a new dispensary along South Carson Street, the anticipated location did not come to fruition. In July of this year, Carson City’s planning commissioners granted a special use permit for RISE’s second site along Highway 50, solidifying its presence in the rapidly evolving cannabis market.
In addition to the two RISE dispensaries, the local cannabis market is further enriched by Verano’s Zen Leaf, strategically situated on East Highway 50, complementing the offerings available to the Carson City community.
