Police Drama in West Sumatra – A Dark Comedy
Padang, CNN Indonesia – Hold onto your hats, ladies and gentlemen, because it appears that West Sumatra has not only got gorgeous landscapes but also some rather unfortunate police antics! So, gather round as we dive into a tale that sounds like it’s been ripped straight from the pages of a bizarre crime novel!
Let’s start off with the news that could make a soap opera look mundane! A senior officer, AKP Dadang Iskandar, has been accused of shooting the head of the Criminal Investigation Unit for the South Solok Police, AKP Ryanto Ulil Anshari, in a case of what can only be described as superfluous ‘office disagreements’ gone wildly out of hand. Honestly, when I said ‘office politics’, I didn’t mean it literally!
To add to the theatrical element, the plot thickens! After the unfortunate shooting of AKP Ulil, it appears we have a sequel brewing, because just a hop and a skip away (about 20 meters, to be precise), the same officer decided that the Police Chief’s house should also experience a sprinkle of gunfire—because why not? If you’re already in the mood for a bit of shooting, you might as well make it a double feature. And all this was allegedly triggered by the *disclosure* of a mining case. It’s like ‘who dug up what’ turned into ‘who shot who!’
The police investigation led by Kombes Andry Kurniawan reveals that they found six bullet casings at the scene. And just to be clear, the Chief was home – probably thinking he’d just stick to watching Netflix instead of dealing with real-life drama! Andry cheekily mentioned, “The police chief was in the house when the shots rang out!” One can only wonder if the Chief had popcorn ready, just in case it turned into a shootout-worthy action film!
As the investigation unfolds, the question on everyone’s lips is: ‘Did Dadang have it out for the Chief, or is he merely a bad shot with really poor aim?’. Because let’s be honest, it sounds like he could use some target practice… assuming he’s not just aiming to avoid some rather serious consequences! A one-way shooting spree? Definitely looks like someone’s targeting practices could use some adjusting!
The gravity of this situation is undeniable. The police are supposed to be the ones keeping us safe, not turning our towns into action-packed bullet-fests! But amidst all the chaos, let’s take a breath and also appreciate the absurdity – because nothing says “we’ve got things under control” quite like a police officer going rogue on fellow officers. I mean, if you thought your workplace had drama, try working at a West Sumatra police station!
So, there you have it! A story where the line between law enforcement and lawlessness is undoubtedly blurred. While the intentions remain under investigation, one thing is clear: In West Sumatra, the police have taken ‘keeping it in the family’ to a whole new level! Now let’s hope that this doesn’t end in a sequel that’s even more absurd. In the meantime, stay tuned for the next episode of “As the Law Turns” – coming soon to a news channel near you!
Padang, CNN Indonesia —
Direskrimun Polda West Sumatra Kombes Andry Kurniawan stated that the Head of Operations for the South Solok Police, AKP Dadang Iskandar, was involved in the shocking shooting incident targeting the official residence of Police Chief AKBP Arief Mukti shortly after he allegedly killed the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Ryanto Ulil Anshari.
According to Andry, the authorities discovered six spent bullet casings at the scene, which were fired from the weapon used by the suspect at the official residence of the South Solok Police Chief, a location alarmingly situated only about 20 meters away from where AKP Ulil was murdered.
“Based on the crime scene investigation, there was indeed a shooting at the Police Chief’s house. We found projectiles and casings there. We found six casings around the Police Chief’s official residence,” said Andry during a press statement at the West Sumatra Police Headquarters, Saturday (23/11).
The police chief, along with others in the house at the time, managed to escape unharmed, despite the gunfire erupting around them. “The Police Chief was in the house when the shooting occurred. Our investigation is focused on whether the shooter intended to kill the police chief,” Andry elaborated.
The shocking shooting incident involving the South Solok Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief, AKP Riyanto Ulil Anshari, carried out by the Ops Head, AKP Dadang Iskandar, took place at approximately 00:15 WIB Friday morning, raising serious concerns among local law enforcement.
There is a strong suspicion that the motive behind the shooting may be linked to the recent disclosure of a significant mining case that had been under investigation by the unit led by Ulil.

What key factors contributed to the violent incident involving AKP Dadang Iskandar and AKP Ryanto Ulil Anshari?
**Interview on West Sumatra’s Police Drama: A Dark Comedy**
**Host:** Welcome to our special segment discussing the incredible and bizarre events unfolding in West Sumatra, where the line between law enforcement and chaos seems to have disappeared. We have with us today, political analyst and expert in law enforcement affairs, Dr. Maria Sutanto. Thank you for joining us, Maria!
**Maria Sutanto:** Thank you for having me! It’s always a pleasure, even if we are discussing something so outrageous.
**Host:** Let’s dive right in. What do you make of the allegations against AKP Dadang Iskandar for shooting his colleague, AKP Ryanto Ulil Anshari?
**Maria Sutanto:** It’s quite a shocking scenario, isn’t it? The fact that a senior police officer resorted to violence over what appears to be office disagreements is alarming. It raises serious questions about the internal culture within the West Sumatra police force. This isn’t just a personal dispute; it reflects systemic issues that might be at play.
**Host:** It sounds like a scene straight out of a drama series. Following the shooting of AKP Ulil, Dadang also fired shots at the Police Chief’s house! What are your thoughts on the escalation of violence?
**Maria Sutanto:** Absolutely absurd! It seems to be a critique of workplace dynamics taken to an extreme. The idea that he would follow up a shooting with another act of violence at the Chief’s residence raises immediate concerns about professionalism and mental health among officers. If this is how officers handle disagreements, it can lead to a breakdown of trust in law enforcement.
**Host:** Speaking of trust, Kombes Andry Kurniawan’s investigation revealed six bullet casings found at the scene. What implications does this have for public safety and police accountability?
**Maria Sutanto:** The number of casings alone implies a serious level of intent and recklessness. It suggests that officers may not only be a threat to each other but could also pose a danger to the community they are meant to protect. It’s essential that the investigation not only holds those responsible accountable but also addresses the broader issues of police conduct and oversight.
**Host:** The incident has been described in almost comedic terms, which adds a layer of absurdity to the situation. Is it appropriate to view such violent acts with humor, or does this trivialize the gravity of the situation?
**Maria Sutanto:** While I understand the impulse to use humor to cope with such ridiculous happenings, it risks downplaying how serious police misconduct can be. It’s essential to maintain a critical perspective, recognizing that behind the absurdity lies a threat to public safety and an erosion of community trust in law enforcement.
**Host:** Well said, Maria. Any final thoughts on what this incident reveals about police culture in West Sumatra?
**Maria Sutanto:** It’s a critical moment for West Sumatra’s police force. This could either serve as a wake-up call to reform internal structures and accountability mechanisms or lead to further chaos if not adequately addressed. Reforming police conduct must be a priority to prevent such incidents in the future.
**Host:** Thank you, Dr. Sutanto, for your insightful analysis. This situation certainly brings up many layers of concern for law enforcement and public trust in West Sumatra.
**Maria Sutanto:** Thank you for having me! I hope for a resolution that leads to meaningful changes within the force.
