Interim Guilherme Bossle once again used some young Coxa reserves, as he did in the defeat to Chapecoense, and the new addition was Henrique Melo, from the base. Still, he opted for the returns of Jamerson, Matheus Frizzo and Júnior Brumado, figures already marked in the season.
In the 27th minute, Walisson opened the scoring for Botafogo-SP, after goalkeeper Benassi missed the goal kick. With the opponent’s goal, the thigh-white fans ironically applauded.
In the 41st minute, the Ribeirão Preto team increased the score. João Victor shot from distance, the ball deflected, leaving goalkeeper Benassi with no chance. With the goal, the fans revolted even more. At halftime, once again, boos and shouts against the team marked the players’ departure.
In the second half, things became even more difficult for Coritiba. Interim Guila Bossle even tried to organize the midfield, but nothing was effective. After seven minutes, Bruno Marques scored Botafogo-SP’s third.
