The Court judge in Pakistan history ayesha malik chief justice | ayesha malik twitter | ayesha malik facebook”>Lahore High Court ordered the release of Parvez Elahi. Lahore High Court heard the petition filed against the arrest of Parvez Elahi in NAB. Justice Amjad Rafique heard the petition of Pervez Elahi.

During the hearing, Justice Amjad Rafiq said that there will be an inquiry on the arrest of Parvez Elahi, when the decision of the two-member bench was reached, then why was the physical remand extended? Lawyer Pervaiz Elahi requested the court that there is a lot of crowd outside the High Court, there is fear that the police will arrest them.

Justice Amjad Rafiq replied that we have said that we will not arrest in any case, I am also ordering the rest. Pervaiz Elahi had challenged the NAB arrest in the High Court. The court had ordered Parvez Elahi to appear before the court at ten o’clock.

NAB Lahore had written a letter to IG Punjab and others for Parvaizalhi’s security.

Earlier, a hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on the petition filed against the arrest of former Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi by NAB. Justice Amjad Rafiq heard the request of Pervaiz Elahi.

During the hearing, the NAB prosecutor said that time should be given for a detailed response to the request of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, Justice Amjad Rafique remarked that it is fine, then we order Parvez Elahi to be deported.

The court told the NAB officials that you should apply to the Chief Justice that this application be fixed for hearing before a 2-member bench. Is the arrest of the former Chief Minister of Punjab in accordance with the law?, all the questions are to be answered in your reports.

The NAB prosecutor argued that the single bench did not give a direction not to arrest Parvaiz Elahi.

The Prosecutor General said that it is in the decisions of the Supreme Court that a two-member bench can hear the cases of NAB, a single bench cannot hear the cases of NAB, it is the work of the subordinate courts to implement the decisions of the Supreme Court. Give respite, we will submit a full detailed report to the court.

The NAB prosecutor objected to the appearance of Amjad Parvez on behalf of Parvez Elahi and said that Amjad Parvez does not have a power of attorney in this case.

The court remarked that it seems like this is a personal matter of yours. The NAB prosecutor said that Amjad Parvez himself is the special prosecutor of NAB, how can he appear?

Amjad Pervez said that I represent NAB only in specific cases. Justice Amjad Rafiq said you should start the arguments, the court is giving permission, if you want me not to hear this case, then apply to the Chief Justice.

Justice Amjad Rafiq remarked that the arrest of Parvez Elahi is in accordance with the law, when the two-member bench restored the decision of the single bench, then the decision of the single bench is upheld, the law is very clear in this regard, we have to decide now. Parvez Elahi’s arrest is legal or illegal.

Lahore High Court ordered to present former Chief Minister Punjab and PTI leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi in court at 2 pm, however NAB decided not to present Chaudhry Pervez Elahi in court.

It should be noted that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has requested NAB to declare his arrest as illegal.

**Interview with ⁣Legal Analyst ⁤on the Lahore High Court’s Ruling on Parvez Elahi’s Arrest**

**Host**: Welcome to our program where we discuss important legal updates. Today, we have legal analyst⁣ Dr. Amina⁣ Farid with us to shed light on⁤ the Lahore ‍High‌ Court’s recent decision regarding ‍former Chief Minister Parvez Elahi. Dr. Farid, thank you for joining us.

**Dr. ‍Farid**: ‍Thank you for having me. It’s ⁤a pleasure ‍to be here.

**Host**: Let’s start with the recent ⁣decision by ⁤the Lahore High Court. Can you summarize the ‌key points of the ruling ‌concerning Parvez Elahi?

**Dr. Farid**: Certainly. The Lahore ⁢High Court, led by Justice Amjad Rafique, ordered the release of Parvez Elahi after hearing ⁢his petition ⁤against ⁢his arrest by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The court raised significant questions about⁤ the legality of his arrest and indicated that an‌ inquiry would ⁣be ‍conducted into the circumstances surrounding it. Justice Rafique specifically questioned why Elahi’s physical⁤ remand was extended when there was an ongoing legal review ⁣of his case [[1](https://www.dawn.com/news/1773998)].

**Host**: ⁤Interesting. ⁣There was also⁤ a concern about the ⁣crowd‌ outside the court during the hearing. ⁣Could you elaborate on that?

**Dr. Farid**: Yes, Elahi’s lawyer expressed concerns for their safety in light of a large gathering outside the court‌ premises, fearing potential police action. Justice Rafique assured that⁢ there would be no arrests during this ⁣ongoing process and emphasized that security arrangements were being made‍ by the NAB to ensure Elahi’s safety [[1](https://www.dawn.com/news/1773998)].

**Host**: What does this ruling ‍imply for the NAB and its procedures?

**Dr. Farid**: This ruling suggests ⁣a potential ‌challenge to NAB’s authority and adherence to legal processes. ⁣The court instructed NAB officials to provide clear explanations regarding the legality of their actions and the basis of Elahi’s arrest. This could signal that the court will ‌closely scrutinize NAB’s operations and decisions moving forward [[1](https://www.dawn.com/news/1773998)].

**Host**: ⁢Given the current political climate in Pakistan, how might this⁢ decision affect Parvez Elahi’s political career or ⁣the broader ⁤political landscape?

**Dr. Farid**: Elahi’s release could bolster his position within his party and among supporters, ⁣especially if it is seen⁣ as⁢ a vindication against what many perceive as politically ‌motivated actions taken by NAB.⁣ On a broader scale, this ruling ‌might impact the ongoing political narrative around accountability in Pakistan and could influence public perception of the government and ⁣its institutions [[1](https://www.dawn.com/news/1773998)].

**Host**: Thank you, Dr. Farid,‍ for your insights on this significant ruling. It will certainly be interesting to see how this case develops further and its implications⁣ for Pakistan’s ⁤political landscape.

**Dr. Farid**: ⁢Thank you. I look forward to discussing ‌how this situation evolves.
