NorthBay Health has officially launched an urgent care clinic in Dixon, as announced by the Fairfield-based health care system on November 18. The new clinic began serving patients on the same day it opened, underscoring NorthBay’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access in the region.
The newly opened Dixon clinic signifies NorthBay’s fourth urgent care facility in the North Bay and its third urgent care center located within Solano County, alongside existing locations in Fairfield and Vacaville. Additionally, NorthBay opened an urgent care clinic in American Canyon, Napa County, back in September, further solidifying its presence in the area.
“We’re thrilled to be expanding our footprint in Dixon to include urgent care services and to be one step closer to becoming the health care partner of choice for the region,” stated Mark Behl, CEO of NorthBay Health, reflecting the company’s strategic vision. “With its close proximity to major interstates, the airport, and educational institutions, the City of Dixon is a key community where we believe we can meet and surpass patients’ demands for high quality, compassionate care that is more accessible and convenient.”
Looking toward the future, NorthBay has announced significant expansion plans, which include the establishment of new health care facilities in Rio Vista and Winters, located in Yolo County. This ambitious growth initiative is part of NorthBay’s multiyear, $250 million investment strategy aimed at launching up to 10 new primary and urgent care facilities by the year 2030.
The clinic in Dixon is conveniently situated just off Interstate 80, housed within NorthBay’s existing primary care facility at 1305 Stratford Ave. It operates daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., welcoming patients without the need for appointments.
The Dixon facility represents the latest development in the growing network of urgent care centers in the North Bay region, highlighting a shift towards increased healthcare services.
On December 3, MarinHealth will unveil a new 14,000-square-foot multispecialty clinic in Petaluma, which will include an urgent care center and pediatric services slated to open early next year, as previously reported by the Business Journal.
In September, Kaiser Permanente successfully inaugurated an urgent care clinic in Santa Rosa, strategically located within its Medical Office Building 1 on Bicentennial Way, adding to the region’s healthcare options.
At the same time, one urgent care clinic is set to close. Providence will shut down one of its three urgent care clinics in Santa Rosa on February 7, specifically the facility located at 925 Corporate Center Parkway off Sebastopol Road, as reported by The Press Democrat on November 11. This decision is part of Providence’s concerted effort to consolidate its services in the region.
It is worth noting that Providence previously closed another urgent care clinic it operated in Rohnert Park in 2022, highlighting ongoing shifts in the urgent care landscape.
