The ONEOK Foundation has made a generous donation of $100,000 to the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association (NDSA) as well as the North Dakota Stockmen’s Foundation’s Out of the Ashes Wildfire Disaster Relief Program. This critical relief fund, established in the wake of the catastrophic wildfires that swept through North Dakota, aims to provide essential support and mitigate losses for the cattle producers who have suffered immensely. With this latest contribution, the total amount raised has now climbed to an impressive $723,114.56, underscoring the community’s commitment to recovery.

“This relief program will provide financial support for cattle producers who have lost pasture, hay, fencing, building structures and livestock,” said Julie Ellingson, executive vice president of the NDSA. “These invaluable contributions offer a ray of hope as those who were impacted begin the arduous journey of rebuilding their livelihoods.”

Additionally, numerous first responders and brave volunteer firefighters, including many dedicated ONEOK employees, were instrumental in safeguarding communities during the harrowing wildfires. Their quick and decisive actions helped to protect lives and livelihoods from the engulfing flames.

“We’re honored to help support our neighboring ranchers and landowners who faced devastating losses,” said Pierce H. Norton II, president and chief executive officer of ONEOK and chairman of the ONEOK Foundation Board of Directors. “The courage and commitment of the first responders, volunteers, and employees who selflessly faced personal danger to protect our community is a testament to our Core Value of Service. I want to personally thank them for their efforts.”

Out of the Ashes Wildfire Disaster Relief Program contributions have been critical to provide relief and facilitate early recovery efforts for those affected by the disaster. Every donation is vital in ensuring that proper assistance reaches those in need.

“ONEOK’s significant contribution bolsters the relief effort and will go a long way in providing needed support to those in need,” emphasized Ellingson.
