An original Sunday outing, the Paris-Vincennes racecourse is ideal. Until February 23, the “Pleasure Sundays” allow you to discover the world of racing up close in a friendly and festive setting.
Much more than simple horse races, the “Pleasure Sundays” constitute an invitation to experience a unique experience throughout the 12 Sundays of the Meeting d’Hiver (see program below) at theParis-Vincennes racecourse.
This Sunday, November 17, coincided with the launch of the 2024/2025 season in the trotting temple in Vincennes. The first “Pleasure Sunday” and the first day of the America Races, a series of qualifying races pitting the best horses and sulky drivers against each other for the legendary Prix d’Amérique which takes place each year on the last Sunday in January. The 104th edition will therefore take place on January 26, 2025. The racecourse will be complete with some 40,000 spectators gathered in the stands and along the track.
“Pleasure Sundays”, a global concept
Fans of the discipline and die-hard punters don’t really need to be convinced. For others, it really is the opportunity to discover a fascinating world in a warm and festive atmosphere. Whether you come alone, with family or friends, the “Sunday Plaisirs”, third edition of the name, is a whole. A global concept which of course includes tracking the races (with the possibility for adults to bet, which adds that little extra adrenaline), but also entertainment for young and old, as well as taste discoveries.
As for entertainment, the youngest can enjoy the carousel, pony baptisms and wooden games. As for older children, it is possible to benefit from a guided tour of the stables – the Vincennes racecourse houses a total of 150 boxes –, or even better, sit comfortably in a bus to follow the races as closely as possible. A specialist will also be responsible for explaining to you all the subtleties inherent to trotting. All this is free, you just need to register in advance.
Horses, entertainment and a wide choice of products to taste
“Pleasure Sundays” are also the flavors of Food Court by Les Comptoirs de Milo. On the menu: The Piaggio & its pizzas, the Hot dog tricycle, the Ritz rotisserie and its golden meats, the pastry & candy bar, and winter pancakes in the gondola. Likewise themed street food stands and discovery workshops accessible by reservation are offered every Sunday. Another suggestion, l’Hippo Pub which around typically French aperitif products, offers a selection of local beers and wines. While the gray weather is now well established in the capital, here’s something to enhance your gloomy Sundays and enjoy an exhilarating experience an afternoon in Vincennes.

- What kind of culinary experiences can attendees expect at “Pleasure Sundays”?
**Interview with Sophie Dupont, Event Coordinator for “Pleasure Sundays” at the Paris-Vincennes Racecourse**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us today, Sophie! Can you tell us what makes “Pleasure Sundays” special compared to an ordinary day at the races?
**Sophie Dupont:** Thank you for having me! “Pleasure Sundays” are designed to be a unique and festive experience for everyone, not just dedicated racing fans. We have created an inviting atmosphere where families and friends can enjoy not only the excitement of horse racing but also a variety of entertaining activities and culinary delights. This year, we’ve planned an array of experiences that cater to both young and old, making it an event for all ages.
**Editor:** That sounds wonderful! What specific activities can attendees look forward to during these Sundays?
**Sophie Dupont:** Throughout the “Pleasure Sundays,” guests can enjoy many activities. For children, we have attractions like carousel rides, pony baptisms, and wooden games. Older kids can explore our stables during guided tours to learn about the horses up close, or they can join a special bus tour that allows them to watch the races from a unique vantage point while a trotting expert guides them through the nuances of the sport. All of these are free with prior registration.
**Editor:** Sounds like it’s designed to engage everyone! I understand there’s a culinary aspect as well. Can you elaborate on that?
**Sophie Dupont:** Absolutely! We’ve partnered with “Les Comptoirs de Milo” to create a vibrant food court featuring a variety of delicious options. Alex Reeds can enjoy everything from gourmet pizzas from our Piaggio and hot dogs from a vintage tricycle to rotisserie delights and sweet treats at our pastry bar. Plus, we have themed street food stands and discovery workshops for those looking to try something new. It really enhances the overall experience!
**Editor:** It certainly sounds like a feast for the senses! Looking ahead, what are you most excited about as “Pleasure Sundays” progresses through the season?
**Sophie Dupont:** I’m particularly excited about the upcoming America Races, as they bring together some of the best horses and drivers in a thrilling lead-up to the legendary Prix d’Amérique. We expect around 40,000 spectators to join us, and the atmosphere will be electric. Also, seeing families and friends enjoying their time together truly warms my heart and makes all the hard work worthwhile.
**Editor:** It seems like a fantastic way to spend a Sunday! Where can people find more information or purchase tickets?
