**Interview with Giorgos Gavrilos on His Resignation from SYRIZA**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us today, Mr. Gavrilos. You recently submitted your resignation from your duties as a parliamentary representative of SYRIZA. Can you share more about the reasons behind your decision?
**Giorgos Gavrilos:** Thank you for having me. My decision to resign was not made lightly. I’ve expressed my dissatisfaction with some decisions made by the party in the past two months. It became clear to me that I could no longer continue in a role that did not align with my values or the expectations of the constituents I represent.
**Editor:** You mentioned in your statement to the parliamentary editors that you communicated this to Nikos Pappa. How did he respond to your concerns, and do you believe this resignation will open the door for meaningful changes within the party?
**Giorgos Gavrilos:** Nikos listened to my concerns, and I appreciate that. However, whether this resignation leads to significant changes is up to the leadership and the direction they choose to take. I hope it inspires reflection on the path forward for SYRIZA.
**Editor:** As a party member, it seems you are still committed to SYRIZA’s future. What do you think the party needs to do to regain trust among its supporters and prevent similar resignations?
**Giorgos Gavrilos:** Regaining trust will require us to listen closely to our base and make decisions that reflect our shared values and principles. Open dialogue and accountability are crucial. Exploring those aspects could help re-engage with our supporters.
**Editor:** In light of your resignation, how do you think the political landscape within SYRIZA and its relationship with the electorate will change?
**Giorgos Gavrilos:** This resignation might spark a broader discussion about accountability within the party and its leadership. I believe it’s vital for parties to adapt to changing times and address the needs and concerns of their constituents directly.
**Editor:** This leads to a poignant question for our readers: Do you believe that a single resignation, such as that of Mr. Gavrilos, reflects deeper issues within political parties like SYRIZA, or is it merely an isolated incident? What implications could this have for party unity and public trust? We welcome your thoughts and opinions on this matter.
