A Mac App Store was also not left out of the news macOS Sequoia 15 — more precisely, the version 15.1released some time after the first final version of the most recent Mac system.
From there, it becomes possible to download and install large applications (more than 1GB) on a separate drive, as is the case with an external HDD/SSD, for example. Although this is very useful, Apple does not allow you to choose specific apps to install on the external drive.
See below how to activate this setting on your computer! 
- Abra a Mac App Store.
- Go to App Store » Settings… in the menu bar or use the shortcut, ⌘ command .
- Check the box next to “Download and install large apps on a separate disk” and use the drop-down menu next to it to choose the drive you want.
Obviously, the external disk must be plugged in when you activate this.
