The Chery Hunting Wild concept was shown at the Guangzhou Auto Show, according to a Chinese website CarNewsChina it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just three seconds and reach a top speed of 260 km/h. The most remarkable, however, is the indicated range of 1,500 kilometers per charge, which would represent a significant breakthrough in the field of electromobility.
The impressive numbers are primarily due to the use of a battery with a solid electrolyte, a technology considered to be the future of electric cars. These batteries offer significantly higher energy density, faster energy transfer and also faster charging, but they are not yet in production cars.
The concept was developed under the Fulwin brand, which is part of the Chery car company and until now was mainly known for plug-in hybrid models. The car is built on the 800V platform and has e.g. steering of all wheels using the steer-by-wire system, air suspension or level 3 autonomous driving.

The interior of the car will impress with a 15.6″ infotainment powered by the most modern automotive processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295. This enables the integration of several displays in the cabin with 4K resolution, supports advanced safety systems including driver fatigue detection and ensures 5G connectivity with C-V2X technology. The sound experience is taken care of audio system with 23 speakers, there is also a voice assistant with artificial intelligence.
The exterior design could indicate a new direction for the brand. It features clean lines, LED daytime running lights, hidden headlights and LED taillights with intricate graphics. Another interesting feature is the sunroof with changeable color.
Of course, all these are just elements of the concept so far. Hunting Wild is expected to develop into a production car, but it is not yet clear when that will happen. Likewise, we can only guess what will make it to production from the concept. But the most important thing, i.e. a battery with a solid electrolyte, might finally be able to.

The Chery Hunting Wild: A Concept Car That Promises the Wild
Right off the bat, let’s address the elephant in the showroom: Chery’s Hunting Wild concept. It made its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show, and according to the keen-eyed folks at CarNewsChina, it has some numbers that make you question whether it’s a car or a warp speed spaceship!
0 to 100 km/h in Three Seconds? Sign Me Up!
So, it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in just three seconds. Three seconds! At this rate, you might as well set your watch by the time it takes you to cross the road. I mean, my morning coffee could take longer to brew! The top speed is a staggering 260 km/h. I’m no speed freak, but at that pace, I’d be late to the imaginary racing circuit in my mind!
An EV With a Range of 1,500 Kilometers? Now We’re Talking!
Now, the showstopper here is the claimed range of 1,500 kilometers per charge. That’s right, 1,500 kilometers! The only thing that can rival that is a road trip fueled by a tank of 90% coffee and pure adrenaline, and perhaps a few questionable decisions along the highway. This could signify a monumental leap in electromobility, which means you can finally consider making that escape to the coast for the weekend without worrying about running low on juice!
Solid State Batteries: Not Just a Sci-Fi Movie Plot!
These impressive figures are largely attributable to the use of solid electrolyte batteries — yes, the future is now, folks! These batteries reportedly offer much higher energy density and faster charging times. It’s like upgrading from dial-up internet to fiber optics; can anyone say ‘game changer’? But hold your horses (or electric horses), because as of now, these batteries are still waiting in the wings and haven’t made it to production chip yet.
From Dreams to Reality: The Fulwin Brand
The Chery Hunting Wild is being developed under the Fulwin brand – you know, the people you associated with plug-in hybrids until now. Think of it like your friend who suddenly got a degree in rocket science after fumbling through a “How to Adult” manual for years. But kudos to them – they’ve built this beauty on an 800V platform, equipped with all-wheel steer, air suspension, and even level 3 autonomous driving capabilities. Will it park itself in your driveway while you sip wine? Well, stay tuned!
Interior: A Tech Wonderland!
As for the interior, prepare to be dazzled. Picture a 15.6″ infotainment system powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295. It’s so advanced it probably knows when you need a snack before you do! We’re talking about displays in 4K resolution, advanced driver assistance systems, and the pièce de résistance – a voice assistant with artificial intelligence that might have a better grasp of your life choices than you do!
The Aesthetic: A Glimpse into the Future
And let’s not forget the exterior, which seems like it’s escaped from an architecture magazine. With clean lines, hidden headlights, and a sunroof that changes color (yes, you heard it right!) – it’s all here. I mean, who knew the future of cars would include a mood ring for the roof? “Feeling blue? Let’s make the sunroof match.”
What Now? A Concept or a Reality?
Now, granted, this is all still a concept. The Chery Hunting Wild is likely to evolve into a production car eventually. But let’s face it; we might as well dream big. It’s not clear what features will be retained when the production car finally rolls off the line, but if they keep that solid-state battery stuff, we might just be looking at a revolution in how we drive (and charge) in the future.
Hold Your Electric Horses: Hertz Is Coming Back to Earth
In a curious twist of fate, the Hertz car rental company has reportedly decided to offload thousands of electric cars at a significant loss. After all, nothing says “we believe in electromobility” like desperately trying to get rid of EVs at rock bottom prices. You know, just when you’re feeling optimistic about the future of electric vehicles, someone hands you a fire sale sign. Talk about a buzzkill!
So, whether you’re eagerly awaiting the Chery Hunting Wild or just looking to score a deal on a second-hand EV, one thing’s for sure: the future of automobiles is shaping up to be electrifying – quite literally!
