Horse riding: Pleasure Sundays return to the Paris-Vincennes Hippodrome

The Paris-Vincennes Hippodrome is hosting a new season of Sunday Plaisirs from November 17 to February 23. For twelve days, races and activities will liven up Sundays in eastern Paris.

Horse riding enthusiasts, or more simply friendly outings, have their headquarters for the coming weekends! Indeed, Sunday Plaisirs returns to the Paris-Vincennes Hippodrome (12th arrondissement) from November 17, for twelve festive Sundays until February 23. A traditional winter event in eastern Paris for several years, these days are accessible free of charge and aim to combine the world of horse racing with festive and family entertainment.

The Sunday Pleasures are part of the Vincennes Winter Meeting, which also takes place each year at the Paris-Vincennes Hippodrome. This event brings together a series of very high-level harness trotting races, several of which are crucial preparations for the American Grand Prix. It brings together the best trotters in the world on the Vincennes track, an emblematic place for this discipline, renowned for its selective route (1975m in length with difference in altitude) and its state-of-the-art facilities.

An experience beyond racing

Several of these races will therefore be scheduled during Pleasure Sundays. During the first day, visitors will, for example, have the opportunity to attend the Prix de Bretagne (name given in homage to the region, but not representative of the location of the race, a common situation in the discipline), first stage of qualifying for the American Grand Prix. An excellent opportunity to discover or appreciate the world of trotting once again in a dynamic, friendly and festive atmosphere.

Indeed, the Sunday Plaisirs offer, in addition to the adrenaline of the races, a multitude of free activities for all ages, such as brass bands, pony baptisms or parade shows. Guided tours of the stables and behind the scenes of the site are also offered, as well as introductions to the racecourse professions. Finally, food trucks and other catering areas are available to visitors for a gourmet break. All in a musical atmosphere, which allows the event to please both horse-riding enthusiasts and families wishing to spend a fun and lively Sunday!
