How does Giorgos Gavrilos plan to contribute to SYRIZA’s future while remaining in the parliamentary group after his resignation?
**Interview with Giorgos Gavrilos on His Resignation from SYRIZA**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us today, Mr. Gavrilos. You’ve recently submitted your resignation from your duties as a parliamentary representative for SYRIZA. What prompted this decision?
**Giorgos Gavrilos:** Thank you for having me. My resignation stems from my deep dissatisfaction with the direction the party has taken over the last two months. I believe we have made significant mistakes that need to be addressed, and I felt I could no longer fulfill my responsibilities effectively under these circumstances.
**Editor:** You mentioned in your statement that you’ll remain in the party’s parliamentary group. What does this mean for your future with SYRIZA, and how do you plan to address the issues you’ve identified from within?
**Giorgos Gavrilos:** I continue to be committed to our principles and to working towards the party’s goals. Remaining in the parliamentary group allows me to offer constructive criticism and help steer us back on course, while also engaging with my colleagues on potential solutions.
**Editor:** Given the internal challenges SYRIZA is currently facing, do you believe your resignation will spark a broader conversation within the party about leadership and direction?
**Giorgos Gavrilos:** I certainly hope so. This is an opportunity for reflection and dialogue about what we want to achieve as a party. I believe that honest discussions about our missteps and how we can improve are crucial for our future.
**Editor:** Some might argue that resignations amidst such turbulence could lead to further fragmentation within the party. What do you think readers would say about the stability of SYRIZA moving forward? Are we witnessing the beginning of more significant changes within the party?
**Giorgos Gavrilos:** That’s a valid concern, and I believe it’s a question worth debating. The stability of SYRIZA relies on our ability to unite and address our shortcomings openly. If we fail to navigate this critical period thoughtfully, we could see more resignations and discontent among our members. It’s up to us to decide how we move forward.
**Editor:** Thank you for your insights, Mr. Gavrilos. Your perspective will certainly encourage debate among our readers regarding the future of SYRIZA.
