Disappointment

Since her extreme weight loss, Tammy Slaton, 38, has been asked the same question in every social media post: why doesn’t she undergo liposuction to remove her excess fat? In a new episode of ‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ we finally get an answer to this.
“This is not a definitive no, I’m just telling you that you won’t be ready tomorrow”
Tammy has already lost more than 226 kilos and looks a lot slimmer than before. Yet she is not yet one hundred percent comfortable in her own skin, because she suffers a lot from the excess fat that she still carries with her. In an earlier episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters it could be seen that her doctor Eric Smith advised her to have liposuction to get rid of this, but that appears not to be an option for her (yet).
“Tammy is not currently an appropriate candidate for liposuction as she underwent gastric bypass surgery just 13 to 14 months ago,” explains Dr. Brad Turner. “At this moment it is especially important that she continues to lose weight over the next six months to a year so that she eventually reaches her target weight and only then can we discuss this again.”
The news is extremely frustrating for Tammy, but Dr. Turner urges her not to give up hope. “I’m just going to let Dr. Smith continue working on you, okay? This isn’t a definitive no, I’m just telling you that you won’t be ready tomorrow.”
Disappointment: Tammy Slaton’s Weight Loss Journey
By RTL Boulevard · Just in! Edited moments ago
So, folks, grab your popcorn and put your feet up as we dive into the fascinating, drama-filled world of reality TV, where everyone seems to have an opinion and no one asks for your advice — particularly when it comes to weight loss!
The Liposuction Dilemma
Meet Tammy Slaton, 38, the star of 1000-Lb. Sisters, making waves for all the right and perhaps a few wrong reasons. Since shedding more than 226 kilos (yes, you read that correctly – that’s practically a small child), everyone seems to have a floating question bobbing in their minds: “Why not liposuction?” It’s like asking a fish why it doesn’t fly! Spoiler alert: it’s complicated.
“This is not a definitive no, I’m just telling you that you won’t be ready tomorrow”
The Struggle is Real
Now, our dear Tammy, despite her impressive transformation, still feels like a work in progress. And why wouldn’t she? She’s like a caterpillar that’s just about to transform into a rather splendid butterfly, but is being told to hold its horses for a bit longer. Her doctor, Eric Smith, made a suggestion akin to handing her a golden ticket to a dreamland filled with happiness and fewer calories — liposuction. But hold up! The expertise of Dr. Turner revealed that our girl isn’t quite ready to strut into the operating room just yet.
What the good doctor is saying in a rather strict, yet supportive manner is that Tammy needs to keep losing weight for the next six to twelve months before the talk of liposuction can even begin. It’s frustrating and, let’s be honest, a little disappointing for her (and anyone with a spoonful of impatience). So, while she’s out there shedding pounds like they’re bad habits, the dream of liposuction is like a pie served but left uneaten while the dinner table has a strict “no desserts until everyone’s finished their mains” rule.
Words of Encouragement
Dr. Turner tries to sprinkle a bit of hope in Tammy’s cloud of despair by insisting she shouldn’t lose faith. Much like our own quests for love, weight loss journeys are a rollercoaster — with way more downs than ups sometimes. “I’m just going to let Dr. Smith continue working on you, okay? This isn’t a definitive no!” It’s reassuring, but let’s face it; it’s akin to getting that “We’ll call you” from a job interview you knew you crushed, leaving you staring at your phone like a lovesick teenager.
In Conclusion
So, what’s the takeaway from this whole saga? Life—and Tammy’s journey—requires patience. It’s not just about rushing into surgeries or quick fixes. Sometimes, it’s more about the inner butterfly emerging from that awkward cocoon, ready to spread its wings when the moment is just right. Meanwhile, we’ll keep watching and cheering her on, with popcorn in hand, of course! Because if there’s one thing the universe has taught us, it’s that reality TV is the ultimate guilty pleasure — full of hope, struggle, and a splash of sheer drama.
Until next time, stay cheeky and keep those questions coming, especially if you have a seat on the couch as we continue to watch this wild ride unfold!

Tammy Slaton, 38, has captured the attention of fans with her remarkable weight loss journey. However, since shedding over 226 kilos, she finds herself facing a barrage of inquiries on her social media platforms: why doesn’t she opt for liposuction to eliminate her remaining excess fat? “This is not a definitive no, I’m just telling you that you won’t be ready tomorrow.”
Tammy’s transformation has left many amazed, yet she continues to struggle with self-acceptance due to lingering fat. In a prior episode, her physician, Dr. Eric Smith, recommended liposuction as a potential solution for her excess fat. However, this option is off the table for the time being.
“Tammy is not currently an appropriate candidate for liposuction as she underwent gastric bypass surgery just 13 to 14 months ago,” explains Dr. Brad Turner. “At this moment, it is especially important that she continues to lose weight over the next six months to a year so that she eventually reaches her target weight, and only then can we discuss this again.”
The news is extremely frustrating for Tammy, but Dr. Turner urges her not to give up hope. “I’m just going to let Dr. Smith continue working on you, okay? This isn’t a definitive no, I’m just telling you that you won’t be ready tomorrow.”

**Tammy Slaton**: Thank you for having me!
**Editor**: Let’s dive right in. Your recent weight loss journey has been remarkable, shedding over 226 kilos. How has this transformation impacted your daily life?
**Tammy**: It’s been a wild ride, honestly! I feel a lot better physically, but mentally, it’s a whole different game. I’m much more active now, but the road ahead still has its challenges.
**Editor**: One major topic that fans are curious about is why you aren’t considering liposuction yet, particularly now that you’ve lost so much weight. Can you elaborate on that?
**Tammy**: It’s definitely something I’ve thought about, especially with the excess skin I still have. But my doctors have made it clear that I’m not ready just yet. They’re focused on my overall health right now.
**Editor**: Dr. Turner mentioned in the latest episode that you need to continue losing weight before making any decisions on surgery. How does that make you feel?
**Tammy**: Honestly, it’s frustrating. I want to feel whole and comfortable in my skin, but I trust the process. I know it’s important to be patient and let my body adjust after the gastric bypass.
**Editor**: That’s incredibly insightful. In the show, you mentioned the disappointment of not being able to go straight into surgery. How do you cope with those emotions while still staying motivated?
**Tammy**: It definitely hits hard sometimes. I cope by focusing on small victories and finding joy in my progress, even if it’s not what I envisioned. I remind myself that it’s about my health in the long run, and I’m working towards something bigger.
**Editor**: It sounds like you have a great support system. What words of encouragement would you share with your fans who might be feeling the same frustrations in their journeys?
**Tammy**: I would say hang in there! Everyone’s journey is different, and it’s okay to feel discouraged sometimes. Celebrate your small wins, and remember that it’s about progress, not perfection.
