The National Army deactivated a dangerous explosive charge installed by the José Antonio Galán Front of the ELN in the Carrizal village, municipality of Segovia, in the northeast of Antioquia.

During the intervention of an intelligence operation, the uniformed officers found two charges of cylinder-type explosives and four cylinders conditioned as launching ramps, all ready to detonate and cause serious damage to the civilian population.

These devices, if they had exploded, would have posed a deadly threat, especially to peace signatories residing in the area.

After the successful operation, the troops carried out an exhaustive inspection of the area to ensure that there were no more explosives in the area, guaranteeing the safety of the inhabitants of Carrizal.
