Consequently, he was taken into custody, according to statements from the Toulon prosecutor’s office. This warrant was linked to a violent attempted homicide that took place on October 23 at the bustling square in front of the Evry-Courcouronnes train station, where a sleeping man was brutally struck in the face with a concrete block. Initially hospitalized with severe injuries and a life-threatening prognosis, the victim was ultimately deemed unfit for work for a duration of 45 days, as clarified by the Evry prosecutor’s office in communication with AFP.
A murder was reported under similar circumstances in Lyon, wherein a homeless man of Moldovan nationality was discovered lifeless on Monday morning, having sustained a significant wound to the head with a bloody concrete block found near his body. Surveillance footage captured an individual striking the victim in the head.
