The highly anticipated carol service receives its support from the Royal Foundation, a prominent charity dedicated to fostering the impactful initiatives led by the Prince and Princess of Wales.
It will be attended by esteemed members of the royal family alongside approximately 1,600 specially invited guests, including remarkable individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary support for others, whether through personal efforts, professional commitments, or dedicated volunteer work within their communities.
Those being honoured have been nominated by various charities closely affiliated with the royal family or through lord lieutenants, who serve as the King’s representatives throughout the diverse counties of the nation.
The event will also feature captivating musical performances from celebrated artists including Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean, and Gregory Porter, promising an evening filled with holiday spirit and harmony.
The event is set to be filmed and subsequently broadcast on ITV1, capturing the essence of the moment as part of a unique Christmas Eve special.
In total, fifteen Together At Christmas services will be held across the country, extending the joy and celebration to venues such as the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro and the iconic Blackpool Tower Circus.
Kensington Palace emphasized that the service aims to provide “a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives”.
“The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities,” it stated, highlighting the spirit of community and togetherness.
The princess expressed her desire to “celebrate the many people supporting those in need – individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and above all else shown that love is the greatest gift we can receive,” reflecting her commitment to recognizing and uplifting those who make a difference.
“This theme takes inspiration from the Christmas story which encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy,” it concluded, emphasizing the profound messages at the heart of the holiday season.
