This can be seen from the large number of visitors every time a franchise exhibition takes place in several main cities in the country.
It is hoped that franchise businesses and business opportunities will grow rapidly because this industry is a supporter of the national economy.

**Interview with Rofian Akbar, Franchise Expert**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us today, Rofian. The franchise and business opportunity sector in Indonesia seems to be bouncing back strongly post-Covid-19. What have you observed in the industry since the pandemic’s decline?
**Rofian Akbar:** Thank you for having me. Yes, the enthusiasm in the franchise sector has been palpable. We’ve witnessed a significant increase in attendance at franchise exhibitions across major cities, signaling robust interest and investment in this industry. The pandemic acted as a catalyst, pushing many businesses to adapt and innovate in ways we have not seen before.
**Editor:** That’s encouraging to hear! What do you attribute this growth in the franchise sector to, particularly in terms of new entrepreneurs entering the market?
**Rofian Akbar:** Indonesia is approaching a demographic peak with a young, eager workforce ready to step into entrepreneurship. This period is critical, and we must maximize the potential of our productive human resources. There’s a growing belief that entrepreneurship can drive economic stability and growth, and franchises—especially successful ones—serve as a model, providing a viable pathway for new business actors.
**Editor:** You mentioned innovation during the pandemic. Can you elaborate on how franchise players managed to sustain their businesses during those challenging times?
**Rofian Akbar:** Definitely. Many franchise owners exhibited remarkable leadership skills and a strong sense of adaptability. They focused on empowering their human resources, leveraging technology, and innovating their service delivery models. Most were able to navigate through the tough market conditions, and very few had to close their doors permanently. They demonstrated creativity and resilience, proving their business models could withstand adversity.
**Editor:** It’s inspiring to see that resilience. Can you share examples of successful franchises that have emerged from smaller beginnings?
**Rofian Akbar:** There are several notable examples—many franchises that started as small businesses have multiplied their growth through strategic franchising. They’ve navigated critical challenges by reinforcing their business models and maintaining strong leadership. This shows that with the right passion, competence, and intelligence, success in the franchise world is entirely possible.
**Editor:** Lastly, what are your hopes for the future of the franchise industry in Indonesia?
**Rofian Akbar:** My hope is that we’ll see exponential growth in the number of franchise brands and new entrepreneurs over the next few years. If we can effectively harness our demographic advantages and empower aspiring entrepreneurs, I believe the franchise industry will not only support individual ambitions but will also play a crucial role in invigorating the national economy.
**Editor:** Thank you, Rofian, for sharing your insights. It’s clear that the franchise sector holds significant promise for the future!
**Rofian Akbar:** Thank you for having me! I’m excited to see where the industry goes next.
