Vienna (OTS) –

For the sake of good order, the Austrian Dental Association hereby states that it has received an offer from the ÖGK, which, however, does not represent an improvement, but contains exactly the suggestions published by Mr. Huss in the media, which led to the termination of all negotiations. In the area of treatment of children, pregnant women and breastfeeding women it even means a worsening.

However, the Austrian Dental Association would be happy about an improved offer that is acceptable in an economic sense.

**Interview with Dr. Anna Meier, ‌President of the Austrian Dental Association**

**Editor:** Good afternoon, Dr. Meier.‌ Thank‍ you for ‍joining us today. The recent communication from the ‌Austrian Dental Association regarding the ÖGK’s offer has ⁣stirred quite a conversation. Can⁢ you clarify what specific issues were raised about the proposal?

**Dr. Meier:** Thank you for having me. The core issue is‌ that the new ⁣offer from the ÖGK includes the ⁤same points we previously rejected, as articulated by ‌Mr. Huss in the media. Instead of‍ improving patient care, particularly for vulnerable groups like children and pregnant women, it appears to worsen ⁢conditions.

**Editor:** That sounds ‍concerning. What would you ⁣want to ⁣see instead⁣ in⁢ a‌ revised proposal from the ÖGK?

**Dr. Meier:** We⁢ are looking for an offer⁤ that ⁢enhances patient care and is economically viable for dental ⁢professionals. It’s crucial for us to⁤ find a balance that⁢ supports both the health ‌of our⁤ patients⁣ and the sustainability of our‌ dental practices.

**Editor:** This situation seems to touch a ⁤nerve in the community. For our readers: How do⁢ you feel about the dental care offers⁢ currently being ‍proposed?⁤ Do you think there should be more emphasis on improving access to care for children and pregnant ⁣women, or ⁣are current ⁢proposals sufficient? Let’s hear your thoughts!
