“In the previous match, my opponent forced me to play a difficult rally, from there he could get points. But I tried to reduce it by speeding up the rhythm and taking the initiative to attack first,” he continued.

Putri admitted that she often worried too much about the opponents she would meet. This burdened him so he couldn’t play freely.

However, now, Putri wants to focus on performing optimally match after match.

“Previously, I thought too much about who my opponent would be in a tournament, even from far in advance, which made me feel a lot of burden,” said Putri.

“Now, I try to enjoy it by not wanting to know who my opponent is until it’s near time before I learn the game via video, apart from increasing my focus during practice. This makes me calmer,” he added.

The Women’s progress to the final of the 2024 Korea Masters follows the Indonesian mixed doubles Dejan Ferdinansyah/Gloria Emanuelle who had already secured a place in the top round. (Ant/Z-1)
