**Interview with Yiannis Panagiotopoulos, Director of “ELIODORIA”**
**Editor:** Thank you for joining us, Yiannis. Can you tell us a bit about the significance of the concert “Four Eyes Two Hearts”?
**Yiannis Panagiotopoulos:** Absolutely. This event is a tribute to Smyrna and our city, celebrating the cultural ties and history that connect us. It’s not just a performance; it’s a communal experience that bridges past and present through music and dance.
**Editor:** The event was recently presented at the Skagiopoulio Palace. How did the audience respond to it then?
**Yiannis Panagiotopoulos:** The response was overwhelmingly positive. Our community values these shared cultural experiences, and the feedback highlighted a strong desire for more such events that honor our traditions and explore our heritage.
**Editor:** As you prepare for the concert in Pyrgos, what do you hope the audience will take away from this event?
**Yiannis Panagiotopoulos:** I hope they feel a deep connection to their roots and an appreciation for the beauty of traditional music and dance. It’s vital that we keep these traditions alive and understand their importance in our cultural identity.
**Editor:** Given the concert’s themes, do you think younger generations are engaging enough with their cultural heritage, or is there a risk of it being lost?
**Yiannis Panagiotopoulos:** That’s a pertinent question. While I see a growing interest among some youth, I worry that without active participation and education, other distractions may lead to a disconnect from these vital traditions. This concert aims to spark a debate on how we can encourage more young people to embrace their cultural legacy.
**Editor:** It sounds like a conversation worth having. What do you believe is the best way to get the community involved in preserving these traditions?
**Yiannis Panagiotopoulos:** I think it starts with education and participation. We need to create more inclusive events and programs that engage young people directly. Encouraging them to join dance groups, choirs, or workshops would be a great way to foster that connection.
**Editor:** Thank you, Yiannis. This concert promises to be an enlightening experience. Do you have any final thoughts you’d like to share?
**Yiannis Panagiotopoulos:** Just that I encourage everyone to come and experience this concert. It’s an opportunity not only to enjoy beautiful music but also to reflect on our shared history and the importance of keeping it alive for future generations.
**Editor:** Thank you for your insights, Yiannis. Readers, how do you feel about the balance of preserving cultural heritage in today’s fast-paced world? Is our connection to tradition fading, or is there hope for a revival? Let’s hear your thoughts!
