National Health Day (HKN) is celebrated every year on November 12. HKN was first celebrated in 1964 as an effort to commemorate Indonesia’s success in overcoming the malaria outbreak that occurred in the 1950s.

Reporting from the Ministry of Health (Handbook for the 60th HKN Commemoration), this year’s National Health Day is the 60th anniversary with the theme “Moving Together Healthy Together”.

This theme emphasizes the importance of maintaining health, invites people to maintain health, builds enthusiasm to stay healthy, and reminds the importance of implementing a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS).

This aims to create a healthy and productive society, as well as providing a positive impact on all elements of life.

National Health Day, which falls every November 12, can be celebrated with various positive activities that support health.

How to celebrate National Health Day 2024

1. Hold a Sports Event Together

Invite family, friends or co-workers to take part in sporting events such as walking, running, gymnastics or cycling together.

2. Health Seminar or Webinar

Invite health experts to share information and tips about healthy living. Topics could be disease prevention, the importance of a healthy diet, or how to manage stress.

3. Blood Donation

Holding or participating in blood donation activities can be a real contribution to helping people in need.

4. Provide Free Health Checks

If possible, medical personnel can carry out free health checks, such as checking blood pressure, blood sugar, or body weight and body mass index.

5. Healthy Living Campaign on Social Media
