Oti Mabuse (ITV)
Oti Mabuse, celebrated for her remarkable six-year tenure as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, has openly expressed her intense fear of snakes as she prepares for her inaugural journey into the jungle.
The two-time Strictly champion, paired with celebrity partners Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey, currently serves as a judge on the program Dancing on Ice.
On the eve of her Australian adventure, Mabuse declared her intention to embody the “fun dancing mum” role, hoping to impart her dancing expertise to fellow campmates.
Reflecting on her motivations, the new mother revealed that she is eager to reconnect with her adventurous spirit following the birth of her daughter in December 2023.
“Now I have had my baby daughter, I want to get back to the adventurous and fun Oti. I feel ready for a change and doing something completely different,” she shared, enthusiastic about the prospect of living without makeup and embracing a more relaxed, natural state.
She cheekily added, “As a new mum, I am going to use it to my advantage. I am going to catch up on a whole year’s sleep!”

Alan Halsall (ITV)
Longtime Coronation Street star Alan Halsall, who has portrayed the beloved character Tyrone Dobbs for 26 years, has humorously dubbed his participation in I’m A Celebrity as the “worst kept secret” after having to withdraw last year due to significant knee surgery.
“It feels like the worst kept secret ever! It was a bit of a shock when I got the knee injury last year,” he admitted, reflecting on the challenges he faced before his jungle debut.
Despite his culinary preferences leaning towards “bland food” at home, Halsall expressed little concern over the limited rations in camp. However, the emotional toll of leaving his beloved daughter Sienna behind weighs heavily on him.
“I am very emotional about Sienna, so it will be interesting to see how I cope. I tend to try to hide my emotions, but with Sienna, I’m not very good at all – I think I will have several blubs. She is 11 and so I’m hoping I won’t embarrass her,” he shared, revealing his tender side.
Jane Moore

Jane Moore (ITV)
Loose Women personality and esteemed journalist Jane Moore will follow in the footsteps of fellow panellists who have graced the jungle, such as Janet Street-Porter, Frankie Bridge, and Charlene White. Moore, a fixture on the ITV panel since 1999, anticipates fulfilling the comforting role of a “shoulder to cry on” for her campmates.
“I have been on this planet a long time and I will be the person who will try to help them out,” she acknowledged, highlighting her nurturing nature. Her two daughters are fully supportive and excited about her adventure, particularly her youngest, who keeps telling her: ‘Mum, it is going to be amazing’.
Moore described herself as an organized individual and is trying to prepare logically for the daunting Bushtucker Trials ahead. “I like to think of myself as a gutsy person, but this remains to be seen,” she admitted candidly. “I’m sure a lot of people think that before they face those Trials and then courage goes out the window!”

Dean McCullough (ITV)
Northern Irish BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough confessed to being “terrified of everything” as he gears up to enter the unpredictable jungle.
Since starting his presenting journey for Radio 1 in 2020, McCullough succeeded Scott Mills and Chris Stark as host of the afternoon show in September 2022, where he gained popularity.
“I am terrified of everything and the more I think about being put in the ground with 50 snakes or getting those green fly things that bite poured over me – well, there’s just no point thinking about it, as otherwise I won’t get on the plane!” he humorously lamented.
McCullough recounted a memorable incident involving a cockroach while staying in a hostel, promptly checking out upon discovery. “I will give everything a go,” he affirmed, determined to gather stars for his fellow contestants. Having traveled the world and embarked on various adventures, he views this experience as a chance for personal growth. “A three-week therapy session is the perfect way to describe this,” he elaborated.
Tulisa Contostavlos

Tulisa (ITV)
N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos revealed that she previously shied away from joining the jungle program due to overwhelming fear.
However, now she feels ready to face her anxieties head-on.
“I’m a big softie and I’m an emotional person,” she candidly shared. “I will probably struggle in the first few days as doing something like this is a big deal for me. I haven’t been thrust this much into the spotlight in a while and I have avoided it out of irrational fear. I will probably be the most emotional when I first go in. It will take me a while to settle in, but I know I will get past that.”
Identifying herself as the “mummy of N-Dubz”, she aspires to showcase her “true authentic self” throughout her jungle experience and connect more deeply with her audience.
“My number one mission is to be my true authentic self,” she vowed earnestly. “If me being my authentic self connects with people in a mass way, then it must mean I’m doing something right in life. But I am not going to go looking for it. This isn’t a career move for me either. I will always go back to N-Dubz and this is a one-off experience.”
Melvin Odoom

Melvin Odoom (ITV)
Radio 1 DJ and presenter Melvin Odoom has cited his friends’ experiences on the show, including Marvin Humes, who participated in the previous season, as his inspiration to embark on this adventure.
“Marvin has given me some advice on what to expect in camp,” he noted, appreciative of the guidance from his peers.
Concerns about the limited food supply in camp loomed large for Odoom, who mentioned that he exhibits a markedly different demeanor when he’s hungry. “I am Moody Melvin! It’s very rare, but I will try my best to do all the Trials,” he quipped, showcasing his commitment.
The presenter admitted that it wasn’t the creeping creatures that rattled him the most; rather, it was his notorious loud snoring that troubled him. “Snoring is my biggest fear,” he confessed. “I have been trying to train myself, as messing with people’s sleep is a big deal. I might be the camp’s enemy if my snoring comes out. It’s loud!”

Coleen Rooney (ITV)
The well-known television personality and wife of former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is reported to have signed the biggest deal in the show’s history, eclipsing previous contracts held by figures like Farage and presenter Noel Edmonds, with an astonishing fee exceeding £1.5 million.
As she prepares to venture into the jungle, Rooney, who recently triumphed in the high-profile “Wagatha Christie” libel case against Rebekkah Vardy, asserted that she is undaunted by fears and ready for the exhilarating challenge ahead.
Regarding her greatest sacrifice while away from home, she stated, “Aside from my family and friends, my phone and a pen and notepad. I love jotting things down.”
Elaborating on her decision to participate now, she noted that her children are finally old enough, marking the right time for her to embrace such a daring experience.
“It has been year after year I have been asked to go on a programme and it’s always been a straight no,” she revealed, highlighting her past reservations. “Over the years, there have been different things going on in my life and also, my children have been really young. But they are at an age now where I can go away for this length of time. I also feel it’s time to have a challenge for me and do something different.”
When asked about the prospect of being crowned ‘Queen of the Jungle,’ she responded enthusiastically, “Of course it would be lovely to win,” adding, “But if I don’t, then I will get to see the kids! Whatever I do in life, I like to put my all into it, and so if I am going in there, it would be nice to stay until the end.”
Barry McGuigan

Barry McGuigan (ITV)
Former boxing champion Barry McGuigan expressed his belief that he might assume a mediator role within the camp, drawing from his previous experience as a referee in Hell’s Kitchen.
“I acted as a referee and appeaser in Hell’s Kitchen. But this is different. A whole different set of circumstances. It’ll be a challenge,” he acknowledged, ready to adapt to a new environment.
“I would imagine I’ll be one of the elders, and you can look at that in a calming down way. I might get irritated. I really don’t know,” he admitted candidly.
McGuigan shared that he naturally assumes the role of a consoler when his fellow fighters have off days in the gym, putting an arm around their shoulders to offer reassurance. “Listen, that’s just the way it is. Tomorrow will be different,” he often reassures them, embodying the supportive team player.
While he openly confessed that he’s not particularly skilled in the kitchen—his culinary duties falling solely on his wife—he remains willing to assist however he can in camp. “I still can’t cook! My fabulous wife does all of that for me. I’d be willing to help out. If nobody else can do it, I’d be happy to chip in. But I’m pretty good at cleaning,” he quipped, sharing a glimpse of family life.

GK Barry (ITV)
Loose Women star and popular content creator GK Barry, whose real name is Grace Keeling, admitted to being “terrified of everything” as she anticipates her upcoming jungle experience.
She explained, “I haven’t slept in a month. I am scared of the Trials and I am genuinely scared of everything. The eating trial, to me, is the worst thing you can do to a human being.”
Barry expressed uncertainty about how she would bond with her fellow contestants but remained hopeful for a smooth transition after the first week. “Hopefully, I will settle in nicely,” she remarked optimistically.
She also voiced her concerns over missing her girlfriend and cat while in the jungle. “When you are missing home and all you want is your comfort people, then that will be hard if they are not there,” she explained thoughtfully, acknowledging the emotional toll of separation. Nonetheless, she lightened the mood by joking, “I have got her a cardboard cutout of me so it’s not weird when I am away!”
Danny Jones

Danny Jones (ITV)
McFly singer Danny Jones might be following in the victorious footsteps of his bandmate Dougie Poynter, who triumphed on the show in 2011. Currently serving as a judge on ITV’s singing competition The Voice, Jones has publicly declared his readiness to step outside of his comfort zone and discover more about himself during his time in the jungle.
To enhance his physical preparedness for camp, he has committed to cutting coffee from his diet and reducing his overall food intake to manage his appetite effectively.
When questioned about the possibility of being ribbed by his bandmates if he fails to win, Jones displayed a calm confidence. “They are competitive, the boys. But I don’t think so… I don’t want to think about winning; it’s too much pressure.”
Ng” as she prepares to enter the jungle. Despite her apprehensions, she aims to remain true to herself and bring plenty of fun and laughter to her campmates.
“I’m naturally a bit of a jokester and I hope that will help lighten the mood,” she expressed, reflecting on the potentially tense atmosphere in the camp. “I just want to make people laugh and hopefully distract them from any discomfort we might face.”
Barry also shared how much she values her social media presence and the connection she has with her followers, hoping to bring some of that energy into the jungle environment. “I love being able to connect with people online, and I want to carry that authenticity with me while I’m on the show,” she affirmed.
As an avid fan of the program, she understands the unique challenges that come with it and is committed to taking on every Bushtucker Trial thrown her way. “I want to face my fears and surprise myself,” she said with determination. “I’m ready for whatever they put in front of me!”
Her approach to the experience is one of optimism and resilience, hoping to use the opportunity to grow personally while creating lasting memories and connections. “I want to look back on this and think, ‘I did that!’” she concluded, brimming with excitement for the journey ahead.
