Mike Tyson has an undeniable affection for his pigeons, while Jake Paul appears to have a significantly different sentiment.
Mike Tyson Issues Stark Warning to Jake Paul as Their Netflix Boxing Showdown Approaches
Amidst reactions to his prior bouts, the 27-year-old Jake Paul is seizing the moment presented to him, as a global audience tunes in on Netflix to witness the much-anticipated return of retired boxing legend Tyson to the ring.
Paul has left no stone unturned in promoting their monumental clash at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, scheduled for this Friday. His efforts include an extensive press tour leading to their initial matchup in July. As part of the fight week excitement, Paul and Tyson commenced with a captivating face-to-face interview that promised to leave fans on the edge of their seats.
With the setting devoid of an audience or any distractions, only the two fighters sat across from each other, navigating the remaining moments of their Netflix promotional campaign with intensity.
The exchange maintained a certain cordiality, until roughly 14 minutes into the session when Paul presented a unique gift to Tyson—a pigeon sourced from Southeast Asia, or so Paul claimed.
“I got you a gift, Mike,” Paul announced, as someone brought out a caged pigeon. “Very expensive but I wanted you to have this.”
“Thank you, Jake. This looks like a low budget peregrine,” Tyson remarked, scrutinizing the unusual gift.
“We paid thousands of dollars for that…” Paul retorted to Tyson’s playful jab.

Paul’s unusual gift can be traced back to Tyson’s childhood, specifically a pivotal moment when the young “Iron” Mike fought back against an assailant who had stolen one of his beloved pigeons, ultimately resulting in a tragic end for the bird.
Once the caretaker of over 100 pigeons in his garage back in 2011, Tyson coolly remarked that Paul could keep this new addition.
“No one loves him,” Tyson said, dismissively commenting on Paul’s pigeon gift. “He has no bands or anything so he doesn’t belong to nobody.”
“Well, he belongs to you now,” Paul countered, adding a playful twist to the exchange.
“I’ll feed him to my falcon,” Tyson joked, leaving the host incredulous and declaring that would be ‘f***** up’ if true.
In a lighthearted moment, Tyson clarified that the pigeon would be safe, laughing off the idea of it being dinner for his pet falcon, despite ultimately deciding to decline the gift as he had no way to transport the pigeon home.
Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul is set to stream on Netflix on Friday, November 15, starting at 8pm ET / 5pm PT, live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.

**Interview with Pigeon Enthusiast and Boxing Legend Mike Tyson Ahead of His Showdown with Jake Paul**
**Host:** Welcome, Mike! It’s great to have you here. With your much-anticipated boxing match against Jake Paul coming up this Friday, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the event, not just in terms of boxing but also about… pigeons.
**Mike Tyson:** Thanks for having me! Yeah, it’s been quite a whirlwind.
**Host:** During a recent face-to-face interview with Jake, he surprised you with a pigeon as a gift. Can you tell us more about that moment?
**Mike Tyson:** (laughs) Well, it was definitely unexpected! He brought out this pigeon and said it was very expensive. I couldn’t help but notice it looked like a low-budget peregrine, honestly.
**Host:** You seemed to have a playful jab at Jake about the pigeon. What was the thought process behind that?
**Mike Tyson:** Look, I love my pigeons. They mean a lot to me. But you have to understand that this was a moment in our build-up to the fight. He was trying to get under my skin a bit—I get it. But I mean, with the way he presented it, it felt more like a joke than a heartfelt gesture.
**Host:** You mentioned before that you used to care for over 100 pigeons. How has that relationship shaped your life and this moment with Jake?
**Mike Tyson:** Pigeons have always been my passion. Growing up, they were a way for me to escape the chaos around me. I once fought back against someone who tried to take one of my pigeons. It was a harrowing experience. So, when Jake presented this pigeon, it brought back a lot of memories.
**Host:** At one point, you humorously remarked that you might feed the pigeon to your falcons. What’s the story behind that comment?
**Mike Tyson:** (chuckles) It’s just me being me! I have falcons, and it was all in good fun. I was trying to lighten the mood—it’s not like I’d actually do that! It’s just part of the banter.
**Host:** With the fight just days away at AT&T Stadium, how are you feeling about the matchup and the lead-up events?
**Mike Tyson:** Excited, honestly. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the ring, and Jake has been doing his best to build the hype. I’m looking forward to stepping back in there and showing what I can do.
**Host:** Any final thoughts you’d like to share with Jake or your fans as you prepare for the showdown?
**Mike Tyson:** To Jake, I say: Keep your guard up. And to my fans, I appreciate all the support—let’s make this a fight to remember!
**Host:** Thanks for joining us, Mike! Good luck with your match!
**Mike Tyson:** Thank you!
