They can be sentences, but also whole paragraphs. It shortens them, stretches them, changes the tone from friendly to formal, etc. These are functions that we got used to earlier in Copilot.
AI editor testing starts in selected countries
We’ve been waiting almost a year for this type of AI integration, when it was unofficially revealed that generative AI would help as an editor. The first official AI integration was a context menu command for text analysis. The editor looks more interesting, but its use will not be unlimited. We also knew this in advance thanks to the January leak.
Microsoft chooses the same strategy as for Painting. The pilot phase of testing is heavily limited and it has not yet reached the Czech Republic. Transcription is available in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, and Canada. All you have to do here is sign in to your Microsoft account.
Conversely, in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Australia, and New Zealand, the editor is only available with Microsoft 365 Personal/Family and Copilot Pro subscriptions. You spend AI credits to use a feature. Free accounts get fifty of them. Paid sixty, but for a month. In the case of Copilot Pro, the ceiling is not explicitly described. Who does not care about the position, turn it off in the Notepad settings.
