PRESIDENT Prabowo Subianto advised the Red and White Cabinet to act firmly and wisely in maintaining a clean government. However, Prabowo was reluctant to carry out these instructions carrying political grudges.
“There must be no political elements in carrying out this campaign, let’s say this campaign must be firm, it must be brave, but efforts must also be free from political content and from political grudges,” said Prabowo at a press conference at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta, Friday (8/22) .
Prabowo hopes that the government atmosphere can remain clean during his two-week working visit to a number of countries. He entrusted the running of the government to Vice President (Wapres) Gibran Rakabuming Raka and the ranks of the Red and White Cabinet.

“I ask for your blessing and I believe that the Vice President and the Red and White Cabinet will run the government as well as possible,” he explained.
Prabowo also admitted that he had given instructions to the ranks to continue working on programs according to plan. So, the government can start working hard in early 2025.
“I also give instructions in our efforts this Sunday, in the next month or two we will really prepare all the preparations so that we can start working hard in 2025,” he said.

**Interview with Political Analyst Dr. Maya Sari on Prabowo’s Stance Against Political Revenge**
**Editor:** Good morning, Dr. Sari. Thank you for joining us today to discuss the recent statements made by Prabowo Subianto regarding political revenge.
**Dr. Maya Sari:** Good morning! Thank you for having me.
**Editor:** Prabowo has expressed reluctance to carry out political revenge. What do you think are the implications of this statement in the current political landscape?
**Dr. Maya Sari:** Prabowo’s stance is quite significant. It suggests a desire for political stability and unity rather than perpetuating cycles of revenge that can destabilize governance. In a time when polarization is high, such a position may appeal to voters looking for leadership that prioritizes peace over conflict.
**Editor:** This comment can be interpreted in various ways. Is Prabowo trying to appeal to a broader audience ahead of elections?
**Dr. Maya Sari:** Absolutely. By distancing himself from past political grudges, Prabowo seems to be positioning himself as a candidate who can transcend divisive politics. This could attract undecided voters and even former opponents, particularly those tired of the ongoing political strife.
**Editor:** How do you think this will affect his party’s strategy moving forward?
**Dr. Maya Sari:** His party may lean into this narrative of reconciliation and focus on constructive policies rather than attacking opponents. It’s a strategic move that seeks to reposition the party as a harbinger of change, rather than as a continuation of previous conflicts. That said, they will need to back this rhetoric up with actions to gain credibility.
**Editor:** what do you foresee as the public’s reaction to his message?
**Dr. Maya Sari:** The public’s reaction will likely be mixed. Some will appreciate his call for unity, while others may be skeptical about his motives. The key will be how consistent he remains in this approach moving forward. If he can show genuine commitment, I believe many will respond positively.
**Editor:** Thank you, Dr. Sari, for your insights on this important topic. It will be interesting to see how Prabowo’s message resonates in the upcoming political events.
**Dr. Maya Sari:** Thank you for having me! I look forward to seeing how this unfolds.
