Alessandro Giuli attacking Elly Schlein. «I believe that Schlein is missing a huge opportunity, and this is to the advantage of the majority. She tries to be challenging on concrete issues, she is trying to be a Labor member despite her allure as a tenant of privilege, but there is no plan and there is no cohesion. And then there remained all the vices that transformed the left into as many failure stories”, the words of the Minister of Culture, guest of the event ‘Ideas first, return to the future’, inaugurated yesterday in Andria by the Fratelli d’group Italy in the Chamber, designed to take stock of what has been achieved so far in this first part of the legislature.
On the contrary, «Giorgia Meloni‘s masterpiece is having understood that coherence can manifest itself in various ways, unavailable to comparison or through a very high institutional openness. Meloni made no concessions to Mario Draghi and the government of everyone except the right. But it managed – continued Giuli – to polarise, from an institutional point of view, the existence of a figure of a high technocrat of global dimensions and of a young emerging woman with a structured personal leadership within a party”. According to Giuli, the left, «at the same time as they accuse the right of nepotism, of racism, of the logic of exclusion, they continually reaffirm an anthropological suprematism that is unavailable to the comparison of which the voters have grown tired».

**Interview with Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli on Elly Schlein and the Current State of the Left**
**Interviewer:** Minister Giuli, you’ve recently expressed strong criticism of Elly Schlein and her leadership. Can you elaborate on what you see as her shortcomings?
**Alessandro Giuli:** Certainly. I believe that Schlein is missing a significant opportunity. She appears to be trying to position herself as a challenger on key issues while simultaneously attempting to align with traditional labor values. However, the reality is that there is a lack of a coherent plan within her approach, which has left the left fractured and without direction.
**Interviewer:** You mentioned the absence of a cohesive strategy. What do you think has contributed to this fragmentation of the left?
**Alessandro Giuli:** It’s a complex issue, but it stems from a mix of outdated ideologies and an unwillingness to adapt to the current political landscape. There were many past failures that have shaped public perception, and these ‘vices’ continue to haunt the left. Schlein needs to provide a clear, unifying vision to inspire confidence among voters.
**Interviewer:** How do you assess the performance of your party and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in this context?
**Alessandro Giuli:** I believe Giorgia Meloni has achieved remarkable progress despite the challenges. Her administration is focused on delivering tangible results, and this has resonated with the majority. We are actively working to foster a more cohesive society, while the left remains divided.
**Interviewer:** Lastly, what do you hope to see from the left moving forward?
**Alessandro Giuli:** I hope that they can unify under a clear vision that addresses the real needs of the people. Only then can they start to regain credibility and effectively contribute to the political discourse. A divided left only serves to strengthen the majority.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Minister Giuli, for your insights. It will be interesting to see how this political landscape evolves.
**Alessandro Giuli:** Thank you for having me.
