Washington – On Friday, the US Department of Justice filed a criminal complaint against three people linked to an “Iranian plot” allegedly prepared by an Iranian official to assassinate Donald Trump, who was elected president of the United States.
According to the criminal complaint submitted to the Federal Court in Manhattan, the mystery of the plan to assassinate President-elect Trump was solved through the testimonies of Iranian Farhad Shakeri, who spent time in American prisons on charges of theft.
Shakeri, who was imprisoned in the United States for 14 years and was deported to Iran in 2008, said in his testimony to FBI agents that an unnamed official from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard contacted him last October and said that he had assigned him to develop an assassination plan to kill Trump. .
Shakeri, who was in Iran, claimed that the aforementioned Revolutionary Guard official asked him to spy on Trump and prepare a plan to kill him within 7 days, and if that did not happen, he instructed to postpone the assassination until after the presidential elections.
He stated that he contacted Carlyle Rivera and Jonathan Loadholt, who live in the United States, for the assassination plan, and Shakeri claimed to FBI officials that he did not intend to carry out this plan within the timetable set by Iran.
Justice Department investigators announced that Rivera and Loadholt were arrested in New York.
It is worth noting that the commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, was killed in an air strike on Baghdad Airport on January 3, 2020, on the orders of Trump.

**Interviewer:** Welcome to our segment. Today, we have with us Chief Sarah Johnson from the Wildfire Response Team. Thank you for joining us, Chief Johnson.
**Chief Johnson:** Thank you for having me.
**Interviewer:** We’re hearing that firefighters have made significant progress against a wildfire that has sadly destroyed 132 structures. Can you tell us more about the current situation?
**Chief Johnson:** Absolutely. The situation is improving thanks to a combination of favorable weather conditions and the hard work of our firefighting teams. The cooler temperatures and higher humidity have helped us gain ground.
**Interviewer:** That’s encouraging to hear. What specific strategies are firefighters using to contain the blaze?
**Chief Johnson:** We’re employing a variety of strategies including backburning to create firebreaks, aerial support for water drops, and ground crews working tirelessly to cut down fuel sources that could allow the fire to spread.
**Interviewer:** That sounds incredibly challenging. What types of structures have been affected, and how are you supporting the communities impacted by the fire?
**Chief Johnson:** The structures include homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure. We are working closely with local agencies to provide emergency services, shelters, and support for those who have been displaced.
**Interviewer:** It’s crucial to have that community support in times like these. What are your predictions for the fire’s behavior in the coming days?
**Chief Johnson:** While we remain cautious, our forecasts indicate that the current favorable weather conditions may persist, which should aid our efforts. However, we’re always prepared for changes, as wildfires can be unpredictable.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Chief Johnson, for providing that insight. We appreciate your work and dedication during such a tough situation.
**Chief Johnson:** Thank you, and I encourage everyone to stay informed and heed evacuation orders if necessary.
**Interviewer:** Of course. Stay safe, everyone. Thank you for tuning in.
