President Dr. Arif Alvi says that not having cricket in Pakistan was a big mistake, but now I hope that seeing the security and other arrangements, there will be a full return of cricket in Pakistan soon.
The last T20 match of the series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was attributed to Pink Day, pink ribbons and shirts were distributed to thousands of fans in the Gaddafi Stadium, President Arif Alvi and Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani. Specially participated in Pink Day event.
On this occasion, the President said that the environment for sports in Lahore is very good, the stadium is full of cricket fans, delegations from England and Ireland have also come to Pakistan. There will be a return.
The president said that some senior players of the Sri Lankan team could not come, junior players have proved themselves in their place with excellent performances. The Pakistani nation is very interested in sports, especially cricket. Yes, the Sri Lankan team has come before, foreign players have come to Pakistan for the PSL, I think now it has started.
The President said that when the athletes come, they get to know the environment, similarly, when other tourists come, they realize that Pakistan is a safe place for tourism. It has happened, traffic jams have started in northern areas and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to rush of tourists because there is no region in the world that is more beautiful and better than Pakistan.
The President of the State said that Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital or all the institutions that treat cancer in Pakistan say that the number of breast cancer patients in Pakistan is the highest, more than fifty percent, ninety-five to ninety-eight percent in the world. Until breast cancer is completely cured, in Pakistan its portion remains up to fifty percent because here the diagnosis is made late, if it is detected in the first stage, ninety-eight percent of the treatment is possible. That’s why we have started the pink ribbon series, I request my mothers, sisters and daughters to do self-examination once a month, if they feel anything wrong, then consult a doctor.

**President Arif Alvi:** Yes, absolutely. Cricket is more than just a sport in Pakistan; it’s a passion that unites our people. The absence of international cricket hurt not only the fans but also the development of our players. We’ve worked hard to create a secure environment and now it’s time for the game to return fully.

Distributing pink ribbons and shirts not only raised awareness for a good cause but also energized the fans and showcased the vibrant support for cricket in Pakistan. It’s these experiences that we want to replicate regularly.
