TWO Gresini Racing team racers, Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez are determined to show the best performance in the closing series of the 2024 MotoGP at the Catalunya Circuit, Barcelona on Sunday (17/11/2024).
Marc Marquez, who currently remains in third place in the MotoGP standings, must gain points to get away from Ducati Lenovo racer Enea Bastianini.
“There is still one race left and I will try to finish it in the best way,” said Marc Marquez in a press release, Wednesday (6/11/2024)

The racer nicknamed Baby Alien has 369 points in third place, only one point ahead of Bastianini who collected 368 in fourth place.
Marc could actually widen the points gap from Bastianini because he managed to reach the podium in the sprint session at Sepang last week.
However, the 31 year old racer slipped while fighting for pole position in the main race on Sunday (3/11).

Nevertheless, the eight-time world champion did not lose points. He was able to rise to get four points thanks to trying to finish in 12th place.
“A historically complicated circuit for me,” said Marc referring to the Sepang Circuit.
“But I would say it was a very positive weekend where we were competitive. There are days when you don’t know why you fell. But I feel more and more comfortable and I know I can fight as hard as I can for third place,” he said.

Marc’s younger brother, Alex Marquez, actually showed excellent performance because he managed to reach fourth place in the race at the Sepang Circuit.
“This time it was a race where we collected important points and became more comfortable rediscovering the confidence and sensation that had been lacking in the last few races,” said Alex.
“It wasn’t an easy race. I wasn’t 100% physically because of a little flu that made me not sleep well. I have to thank the team, even in the moments that were a little more complicated and now we are back to our level. We have to enjoy this moment,” said the 28 year old racer. (Ant/P-3)
