PAIR of candidates for Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan-Erwin, received support from the Bandung City Koran Teacher Forum. More than 300 Koran teachers declared their support at the Farhan-Erwin Joint Secretariat, in Ujungberung, Bandung City.
Chairman of the Bandung City Koran Teachers’ Forum, A Zaenal Muttaqien, explained that his party was very interested in the religious vision and mission promoted by Farhan-Erwin. “Every support must have similarities and similar vision and mission,” he said.
He positively assessed the religious vision and mission in Bandung UTAMA (excellent, open, trustworthy, advanced and religious) promoted by Farhan Erwin. “We see this as a breakthrough, wanting to make Bandung religious is something that must be appreciated,” he said.

Moreover, he was attracted by Farhan-Erwin’s campaign promise to optimize assistance for Koran teachers. They really hope that the Bandung City Government will pay more attention to them.
He admitted that this was because the welfare of Koran teachers was still not good. “Of course we really hope that the welfare of these Koran teachers can be better,” added Zaenal.
One way, he continued, is to strengthen the rule of law, so that their existence is more noticed. This can be done by local regulations or mayoral regulations.

If this legal umbrella is in place, Zaenal is optimistic that the government can allocate sufficient budget for Koran teachers. “Right now, it’s still a grant fund,” he said.
In this way, he is optimistic that the presence of Koran teachers will be more optimal so that religious development will be better among the children of Bandung City. “God willing, Kang Farhan-Erwin can make it happen, so that we can contribute more than creating a religious Bandung society,” added Zaenal.

Candidate for Deputy Mayor of Bandung, Erwin, who was present at the declaration, was grateful for this support.
“Alhamdulillah, we, Farhan-Erwin, would like to express our gratitude and thanks for the support given by Koran teachers throughout the city of Bandung, who, God willing, are pious and pious people because they always convey al Ilmi ma’rifatullah (useful knowledge), ” he said.
It is these teachers, continued Erwin, who every day play an important role in changing the children’s morals from akhlakul mazmumah (bad morals) to akhlakul karimah (laudable morals).
“God willing, when Farhan-Erwin is entrusted to lead the city of Bandung, we have prepared a program for teachers to study in the form of additional incentives,” he said.
Additional incentives will also be provided for places of worship. “Including the marbot and Fardhu Kifayah officers who are tasked with taking care of and washing the bodies,” said Erwin.
