“He cuts our refunds” –

The UAP declares war on the government. The Union of Clinics, Clinics, Institutions and Private Hospitals announces the press conference to be held on Monday 11 November at 4pm in Montecitorio. “Among the hot topics of Italian healthcare that will be discussed – we read in a note from the UAP – there will be the scandalous cut that the current Government intends to make in reimbursements to hospitals and accredited public and private healthcare facilities, as resulting from the draft Decree on the Tariff Nomenclature and on the new LEAs released today. From a careful reading of the tariffs it emerges unequivocally that these cuts will irremediably affect public health which is already in disastrous conditions and is unable to protect health. of Italians, worsening the long waiting lists and making it impossible to provide any healthcare service. After months of hard struggle by the healthcare sector, and in particular by the 27,000 public and private healthcare facilities, to guarantee the health of Italians, this measure will bring. to the collapse of Italian healthcare. Furthermore, from the statement issued signed by the President of the FNOB, Dr. D’Anna, we read that this result is the result of his own personal commitment, together with Dr. Lamberti and Minister Schillaci, who completed a job from which the rest of the category was excluded. We wonder why the major trade associations have remained excluded from these meetings and we are surprised that the current Government does not protect the nation, but facilitates the economic interests of multinationals by approving reimbursements that will lead to the collapse of public hospitals in repayment plan, as well as all accredited public and private healthcare facilities, which, no longer being able to cover their expenses, will be easily acquired by large foreign multinationals. It is right that citizens know that the lack of funds is just an excuse to hide the Government’s real intent to have foreign multinationals acquire Italian healthcare facilities.”

**Interview ‌with⁣ Dr. Marco Rossi, President of UAP Italia**

**Editor:** Thank you⁣ for joining us today, Dr. ‍Rossi.⁣ The announcement of the UAP’s press⁣ conference has garnered⁢ significant attention. Can you tell us what prompted⁣ the union to⁢ declare “war” on the government?

**Dr. Rossi:** Thank‍ you for having me. Our⁢ declaration comes in response to the draft Decree on the Tariff Nomenclature and the new LEAs, which reveal alarming cuts in reimbursements for both private and accredited public healthcare facilities. We believe these cuts will ‌severely undermine the quality of care in Italy and threaten the existence of many vital services.

**Editor:** What specific ⁣aspects of the government’s proposal are you most ‍concerned about?

**Dr. Rossi:** The proposed reimbursement cuts are nothing short of scandalous. They will disproportionately affect hospitals and clinics that already operate on thin margins. We’re particularly alarmed by the lack of consultation with healthcare providers before such drastic decisions are made. Our goal is to ensure that patients ⁣receive the best possible care without unnecessary ⁤financial strain on facilities.

**Editor:** What key points will you address during the press conference on November 11?

**Dr. Rossi:** We will focus on the negative implications of the proposed cuts, discuss ⁤how they will impact patient care, and offer alternative solutions that can ‌help the ‌government save⁢ money without compromising healthcare⁣ quality. We’ll also invite stakeholders from across the healthcare spectrum to join us ‍in this conversation.

**Editor:** How do you plan to ⁢mobilize support within the community ‍and the healthcare sector?

**Dr. Rossi:** We are actively reaching out to our⁤ members and ⁣collaborators. We believe that through unity and clear communication, we can‌ raise ⁤awareness about the⁤ potential consequences of ⁢these cuts.‍ We want to ensure that all ‌voices in ⁤the healthcare community are heard and that we stand together in advocating for what is right for patients and healthcare workers alike.

**Editor:** what message do you want to convey to the Italian public regarding this issue?

**Dr. Rossi:** We urge the ⁢public ⁤to engage ⁤with us and understand the implications of these ‍decisions. Quality healthcare is a right,⁣ not a privilege. Your ⁢voice matters,‌ and together with the support of the community, ⁢we can make sure that our concerns reach policymakers. Let’s work together to fight for a‍ healthcare system that serves everyone.

**Editor:** Thank you, Dr.⁢ Rossi, for sharing your insights and concerns with us today. We look forward to hearing more from UAP Italia.
