JAKARTA, investor.id – The surge in cases of chickenpox (varicella) can be slowed by increasing the body’s immunity. Traditional medicine expert Dr. Inggrid Tania, MSi advises people to increase their body’s immunity with meniran food and herbs.
The outbreak of chicken pox (varicella) in Indonesia, especially South Tangerang, has increased in the last few weeks with a total of 75 cases. Most recently, the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) will soon issue a Circular (SE) Awareness of Chicken Pox (varicella) and Mumps (mumps). The public is also advised to be alert and maintain their health.
General Chair of the Indonesian Traditional Herbal Medicine Developing Doctors Association (PDPOTJI), Dr (cand.) Dr Inggrid Tania, MSi, emphasized the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle and maintaining the body’s immune system, especially for children who are vulnerable to viral infections.
“We can maintain the body’s immunity with nutritious food, adequate rest and exercise. However, in conditions of a rapidly spreading epidemic, additional intake is needed from outside, such as vitamins or nutrients made from safe herbs, such as meniran,” explained Dr Ingrid.
According to Dr. Ingrid, efforts to maintain the body’s immune system become more important when cases of infectious diseases such as chicken pox are high. Good immune system will help prevent exposure to infectious diseases and speed up healing.
“In addition to maintaining health from within, we need to pay attention to the safety of the herbal vitamin products used by ensuring the products have a registration number from the POM Agency, have been clinically tested, and are safe to use as immunomodulators,” he added.
Clinically Tested
Dexa Group Molecular Pharmacologist Prof. Raymond Tjandrawinata revealed that Dexa Medica has developed the herbal extract Meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L) as an Original Indonesian Modern Medicine (OMAI) which is an immunomodulator or enhances the body’s immunity, namely Stimuno.
“The immunomodulator that we developed has been marketed since 1999, meaning it has been 25 years. Among medicines made from natural ingredients, the green meniran plant has been clinically tested as an immunomodulator. This meniran has been proven to be active against various pathogens, so both specific and non-spesific immune system“Immunity can be increased by using this native Indonesian plant,” said Prof Raymond.
In a clinical study conducted on pediatric patients infected with varicella, meniran was proven to speed up the healing process with more than 50% of skin lesions disappearing after five days of therapy, compared to the control group which only reached 30%.
“This effectiveness indicates that meniran can help minimize the risk of infection transmission amidst high cases of chicken pox. Moreover, meniran has three actions to improve the immune system or triple action “namely helping to produce more antibodies, helping activate the immune system, and helping optimize the body’s resistance,” said Prof Raymond.

Can We Chickenpox Our Way to Immunity? Experts Say Yes!
Greetings! Today, we’re diving into a rather contagious issue that’s buzzing around Indonesia: the chickenpox outbreak. It seems that in South Tangerang, 75 cases of chickenpox are roaming around, and if that doesn’t sound serious enough, the Indonesian Ministry of Health is gearing up to produce some pamphlets—yes, I said pamphlets—on how to deal with this epidemic. Because when in doubt, paperwork!
But, fear not! Our hero in this story is Dr. Inggrid Tania, a traditional medicine expert, who’s swooping in with sage advice about boosting immunity. And, just to clarify, we’re not talking about an immunity you get from standing next to a healthy person; she means proper nutrition, rest, and exercise. You know, the usual suspects. But wait, there’s more! She’s spotlighting meniran. What’s meniran, you ask? Well, it turns out it’s a magical herb that might just become your new go-to snack! Move over kale; here comes meniran!
The Great Immunity Showdown
According to Dr. Tania, during these outbreaks, a snack of meniran might just be the extra push your body needs to keep pesky viruses at bay. And let’s be honest here, if you can consume your way to health through something that sounds like a character from a fantasy novel, why wouldn’t you? It’s all about that “healthy lifestyle,” folks! And just as an added tip, when shopping for these herbal goodies, don’t forget to check if they come with a POM registration number. Because nothing says “I care about your health” like a stamp of approval!
Super Herbs to the Rescue
Now, let’s talk about the science behind this purported miracle herb—Dr. Raymond Tjandrawinata from Dexa Group has been busy crafting an extract that’s as cool as its name, Stimuno. Now this is where it gets spicy! The meniran extract has apparently been curing and preventing cases for a whopping 25 years. That’s longer than some relationships last! In a clinical study on kids with chickenpox, those who had some meniran magic saw their skin lesions improving faster than those who weren’t sharing their snacks. Who knew a green plant could have such an effect? Talk about being the life of the party!
What Does Meniran Do?
So, what’s the secret sauce of meniran? Well, according to Prof. Raymond, it magically ramps up your immune system in three ways: it helps produce more antibodies, activates the immune system, and optimizes the body’s resistance. That sounds suspiciously like a superhero origin story. “Meniran, the Immune Avenger!”—coming soon to a theater near you!
And just to wrap it all up nicely: while we’re stuffing our faces with delicious meniran, it’s best to remember that good hygiene and a healthy lifestyle are your best sidekicks in this epic battle against chickenpox! So wash those hands, get some sleep, and for goodness’ sake, add a bit of meniran to your diet. Remember: laughter might be the best medicine, but meniran is starting to sound like a close second!
Stay safe, stay healthy, and don’t let anyone give you chickenpox—unless they’re offering you a plate of meniran!
Ox, meniran extract showed impressive results, speeding up the healing of skin lesions significantly. With more than half of the affected children showing improvement after just five days, it’s clear that meniran is making waves in the world of traditional medicine.
To get a deeper understanding of this herbal remedy and the ongoing chickenpox outbreak, we have Dr. Inggrid Tania joining us today. Welcome, Dr. Tania!
**Interviewer:** Thank you for being here, Dr. Tania. We’ve seen a notable increase in chickenpox cases in South Tangerang. What do you believe is causing this surge?
**Dr. Inggrid Tania:** Thank you for having me! The increase in chickenpox cases can be attributed to various factors, including a lack of immunity in the population and possibly lower vaccination rates. It’s essential to focus on boosting overall immunity, especially in children who are more susceptible to such viral infections.
**Interviewer:** You’ve recommended meniran as a way to enhance immunity. Can you explain what meniran is and its benefits?
**Dr. Inggrid Tania:** Meniran, or Phyllanthus niruri, is a plant known for its immunomodulatory properties. It helps enhance the body’s ability to fight off infections. It’s rich in nutritional content and has been traditionally used to support health and immunity. When faced with an epidemic, such as the current rise in chickenpox cases, incorporating meniran into one’s diet can provide that additional support for the immune system.
**Interviewer:** Apart from meniran, what other measures can individuals take to bolster their immunity during this outbreak?
**Dr. Inggrid Tania:** A healthy lifestyle is crucial. This includes consuming a balanced, nutritious diet, getting adequate rest, staying hydrated, and exercising regularly. It’s also important to be vigilant about hygiene practices to prevent the spread of infections.
**Interviewer:** We’ve heard from Prof. Raymond Tjandrawinata about the clinical testing of meniran extract and its potential benefits. How significant are these clinical studies in your view?
**Dr. Inggrid Tania:** Clinical studies are vital in establishing the efficacy and safety of herbal remedies. The positive results from studies on meniran showing faster recovery rates in chickenpox patients highlight its potential as a complementary treatment. It’s encouraging to see traditional medicines being validated through scientific research.
**Interviewer:** As the General Chair of the Indonesian Traditional Herbal Medicine Developing Doctors Association, what steps do you think the government should take to address the ongoing chickenpox outbreak?
**Dr. Inggrid Tania:** I believe the government should enhance public awareness campaigns about chickenpox and effective prevention strategies. They should also encourage vaccination and promote the use of safe, clinically tested herbal remedies like meniran as part of a comprehensive health strategy.
**Interviewer:** Thank you so much for sharing your insights with us today, Dr. Tania. It seems that while the outbreak poses a challenge, there are effective ways to bolster our immunity.
**Dr. Inggrid Tania:** Thank you for having me. Increasing awareness and promoting health is key to navigating these challenges. Let’s all focus on maintaining good health practices!
**Interviewer:** You heard it here first! Stay healthy, stay informed, and maybe give meniran a try!
