The UAP declares war on the government. The Union of Clinics, Clinics, Institutions and Private Hospitals announces the press conference to be held on Monday 11 November at 4pm in Montecitorio. “Among the hot topics of Italian healthcare that will be discussed – we read in a note from the UAP – there will be the scandalous cut that the current Government intends to make in reimbursements to hospitals and accredited public and private healthcare facilities, as resulting from the draft Decree on the Tariff Nomenclature and on the new LEAs released today. From a careful reading of the tariffs it emerges unequivocally that these cuts will irremediably affect public health which is already in disastrous conditions and is unable to protect health. of Italians, worsening the long waiting lists and making it impossible to provide any healthcare service. After months of hard struggle by the healthcare sector, and in particular by the 27,000 public and private healthcare facilities, to guarantee the health of Italians, this measure will bring. to the collapse of Italian healthcare. Furthermore, from the statement issued signed by the President of the FNOB, Dr. D’Anna, we read that this result is the result of his own personal commitment, together with Dr. Lamberti and Minister Schillaci, who completed a job from which the rest of the category was excluded. We wonder why the major trade associations have remained excluded from these meetings and we are surprised that the current Government does not protect the nation, but facilitates the economic interests of multinationals by approving reimbursements that will lead to the collapse of public hospitals in repayment plan, as well as all accredited public and private healthcare facilities, which, no longer being able to cover their expenses, will be easily acquired by large foreign multinationals. It is right that citizens know that the lack of funds is just an excuse to hide the Government’s real intent to have foreign multinationals acquire Italian healthcare facilities.”

**Interview with Dr. ‍Maria Rossi, Spokesperson‍ for the Union of ⁣Clinics⁤ (UAP)**

**Editor**: Thank you for joining us today, Dr. Rossi. The UAP has just announced a press conference regarding significant‌ cuts to healthcare reimbursements. Can you‌ elaborate on what prompted this decision?

**Dr. Rossi**: Thank⁢ you for⁣ having me. Our decision to call a‍ press conference stems from serious concerns⁢ over ⁢the current government’s proposed ⁢cuts to reimbursements for ⁤hospitals and healthcare facilities. These planned reductions, as outlined in the draft Decree⁤ on the Tariff Nomenclature, will drastically impact both public and private healthcare ⁣services, compromising the quality of care for patients.

**Editor**: What specific effects do you foresee from these proposed⁤ cuts on the healthcare system?

**Dr. Rossi**: The implications are quite severe. First and foremost, ‍these cuts will⁤ lead to reduced funding‍ for‌ essential services, which means longer waiting times for patients and potentially fewer available treatments. Hospitals, particularly smaller clinics, may struggle to remain operational,⁢ forcing them to reduce staff or close entirely. This poses a significant threat not just to healthcare workers but also to the communities we serve.

**Editor**: The press release‌ mentioned that there are “hot topics” to be⁣ discussed. What are⁢ some of the⁢ key issues you plan‍ to address at the press conference?

**Dr. ‍Rossi**: We intend to cover several critical issues, including the impact of these cuts on patient care, the sustainability of healthcare facilities, and the potential for a healthcare crisis if‌ these measures are implemented. ‍We will⁤ also be calling for a dialogue with‌ government officials to discuss equitable funding solutions that do not compromise the health of our‌ citizens.

**Editor**: How do you anticipate the government ‌will ⁣respond to your concerns?

**Dr. Rossi**: We hope to foster ⁢a constructive dialogue. Our goal is to provide evidence-based arguments demonstrating how these cuts will harm the healthcare system. We believe that by working together, we can develop solutions that balance the government’s budgetary constraints with ⁣the need for quality healthcare services.

**Editor**: Thank you, Dr. Rossi, for sharing your insights. We look forward to hearing more⁣ after the press conference on November 11.

**Dr. Rossi**: Thank you for having me. It’s essential to raise awareness about these issues, and I appreciate the opportunity to speak out.
