Pakistan Shaheens left for Australia under the leadership of Rohail Nazir

The Pakistan Shaheens team led by Rohail Nazir left for Australia in the early morning of Wednesday where they will play two 50-over ODIs in addition to the Top&T20 series.

The matches have been organized by Northern Territory Cricket (NTC) in Darwin from July 30 to August 9.

In this six-team T20 series, Pakistan Shaheens and Australian Capital Territory’s ACT Comets. Melbourne Stars. Melbourne Renee Gads. Teams from Papua New Guinea and NT Strike will compete with the top two teams making it to the finals.

Apart from these T20 matches, Pakistan Shaheens will also play two fifty-over ODI matches against Papua New Guinea and NT Strike on August 8 and 9.

Twenty-one-year-old Rohail Nazir has also led Pakistan Shaheens in the tour of New Zealand in December 2020. He was also a part of Pakistan Shaheens in the last tour of Zimbabwe which played two four-day and six one-day matches.

Rohail Nazir has also represented Pakistan U-19 team in 2018 and 2020 U-19 World Cup.

They will also get the services of four players who have played in the U-19 World Cup before. They include Ahmed Khan (2022), Ali Asfand (2022), Irfan Khan (2020 and 2022) and Zeeshan Zameer (2022).

Apart from these four players, Amir Hassan, Arafat Minhas, Azan Owais, Sajjad Ali, Shamil Hussain and Wahaj Riaz have toured Bangladesh with Pakistan U-19 this year.
