Johnson Matthey, which started operating in Lithuania almost a year ago, focuses on improving global finance, human resources, procurement and IT services. With this expansion, the company aims to recruit the potential of Lithuanian talent and involve them in the global IT transformation process.
According to Alexia Aling, chief information technology manager of Johnson Matthey, the new positions of Johnson Matthey Global Business Services specialists in Lithuania will be inseparable from the activities of Johnson Matthey’s IT solution engineering and architecture groups, and the most advanced technological solutions will be developed and implemented in the Vilnius office.
“Lithuania will play a very important role in order to lead in the field of digital technologies and realize the company’s goals. We will also establish an internal academy dedicated to IT training, knowledge sharing and new work methods, and the Lithuanian team will significantly contribute to the realization of this goal”, says A. Aling.
Johnson Matthey representatives believe that Lithuania is an excellent strategic location for developing global operations primarily due to talented specialists, knowledge of various foreign languages and a growing IT ecosystem. Among other things, the company hopes to contribute to talent development by partnering with universities to equip students with the skills needed for a technology-driven world.
