After receiving a threatening message, police in Mumbai‘s Worli district have registered a case against an unknown person and started investigation.

According to an Indian media report, Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received a death threat from an unknown person. The person who made the threat has demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore from Salman Khan.
A message sent to the Mumbai Traffic Police said that if the money was not paid, the actor would be killed.
The report said that the police have registered a case against an unidentified person in Mumbai’s Worli district after receiving a threatening message. The police have started investigating the matter.
It may be recalled that the Mumbai Police arrested a 20-year-old man from Noida on Tuesday in connection with a threatening call against Salman Khan and Ajit Pawar-led NCP MLA Zeeshan Siddiqui. The accused arrested from Sector 39 of Noida has been identified as Mohammad Tayyab, also known as Gorfan Khan.
Apart from threatening, the accused Mohammad Tayyab alias Gurfan also demanded money from Zeeshan Siddiqui and Salman Khan.
This is not the first time that Salman Khan has received death threats. Earlier in 2022, a letter threatening the actor was found on a bench near his residence. The actor also received an email allegedly sent by Goldie Brar in March 2023. In the year 2024, two unknown persons tried to enter Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel using fake identity.
