Prince William (42) has spoken enthusiastically about the strength of his wife Princess Kate after her cancer diagnosis. “She was simply incredible all year long,” the heir to the British throne told the BBC and Sky News on the sidelines of a visit to South Africa. The 42-year-old always supported him, said the eldest son of King Charles III. “She’s doing really well, thanks.”
According to the information, it was the first time that William spoke to journalists about his wife’s health. Kate announced in March that she had cancer. About six months later, she announced that she had finished chemotherapy.
In Cape Town, William wanted to award the winners of the environmental award he founded, the Earthshot Prize. Five projects will each receive funding of one million pounds (1.2 million euros).
Kate didn’t travel to South Africa. Hopefully she will watch the awards ceremony in the evening, said William. “I know she puts a lot of emphasis on tonight being a success.”

**Prince William**: Thank you for having me. It’s a pleasure to be here.
**Interviewer**: You mentioned that Kate has shown incredible strength throughout her treatment. Can you share more about that?
**Prince William**: Absolutely. From the very beginning, Kate showed remarkable resilience. While undergoing chemotherapy, she remained supportive and was always there for our family. It’s inspiring to witness her determination to overcome this challenge.
