Replique expands its materials platform for 3D printing to include metals. In addition, on-demand production is being expanded from just 3D printed parts to multiple production techniques, including forging, casting and injection molding.
Replique presents itself at Fromnext 2024 with a multi-technology platform. Customers now have access to more than 250 production partners via the platform, each with their own technology, materials and production knowledge.

Being able to adapt quickly
“With this expansion, we are meeting our customers’ wishes to purchase all their production needs – from individual parts to series production – centrally and using the most suitable technology for every application. This enables companies to quickly adapt to all customer demands in a complex purchasing environment,” says Max Siebert, CEO and co-founder of Replica. As an example, Replique will be showing a fully 3D-printed containment valve at the fair, which it specially designed for Zermec Pharma to meet the high demands of powder manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies that focus on minimizing contamination and improving production quality. The development process up to and including the prototype took just four months. It is printed with a PFAS-free material that meets the strictest requirements for food and pharmaceutical safety, while it has sliding properties comparable to PFTE.
Material Hub also provides information about metals for AM
The scale-up also presents the extensive Material Hub for 3D printing. The first version of this was announced on Formnext last year. Material Hub now has about 400 active users. They use this materials database to compare the properties of different materials and different AM techniques. With the addition of metals for additive manufacturing, customers can now accurately qualify complex, high-strength parts. Users can browse materials based on specific application requirements and access detailed property data to make informed decisions in a short time. To populate the metals database, Replique will announce collaborations with multiple suppliers on Formnext. These manufacturers of metal powders will make their data accessible via the platform. “The integration of metal materials and usability improvements of our Material Hub are the next step in the democratization of additive manufacturing,” says Jan Weickel, Technical Sales Manager and Project Manager of the Replique Material Hub.
