“I will sue the store”, said the father of a child who was poisoned by alcohol

Three minors are hospitalized in Papageorgiou hospital after poisoning caused by alcohol consumption in a well-known store in the center of Thessaloniki.

The father of one of the minors spoke about the incident and said that he is going to file a lawsuit against the store in question.

The incident

The incident happened on Saturday night, November 2, when a group of 15 people entered the store and ordered alcohol. After a while three people, two boys and a girl, were taken to the hospital with symptoms of poisoning.

A 56-year-old temporary manager of a health store in the center of Thessaloniki was arrested, against whom a case file was filed for a Report by the White Tower Security Department. He was later released on a prosecutor’s order.

As it emerged from the police investigation, the arrested person allowed three minors to enter the aforementioned store in the early hours of today, as well as their consumption of alcoholic beverages.

“How can they serve alcohol to minors?”
The father of one of the minors spoke on the morning of Monday 4/11 to ERT, pointing out: “I got a call that the child was taken to the hospital in a bad condition and I was terrified. I will sue the store.”

“How is it possible that they serve alcohol to minors and not ask for IDs? My child could have suffered greater harm. I knew that my child just went out for a walk with his friends,” he added.
