WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The anticipation is building as Mike Powell, the Director of Gymnastics at William & Mary, reveals an ambitious schedule for the men’s gymnastics team for the 2025 season. This thrilling lineup will consist of eight regular-season competitions, featuring two highly-anticipated home meets to be held at the iconic Kaplan Arena.
Among the highlights on this year’s agenda is the much-anticipated annual Green and Gold exhibition, scheduled for December 6. Fans will also have the opportunity to cheer on the Tribe during home matches against formidable opponents Navy on March 8 and a dual meet versus the teams from Greenville and Oklahoma on March 15.
William & Mary will kick off its competitive season at the prestigious West Point Open, taking place from January 10-11. The following weekend, they will showcase their talents at the historic Navy Open on January 18. The Tribe is set to conclude the month with a challenging dual meet at Penn State on January 25, where they will face off against one of the top programs in the nation.
February starts with an exciting trip to West Point for a meet against Army on February 8, followed by a competitive outing in Springfield on February 16. This period will be crucial for teams to build momentum ahead of the upcoming championships.
Selected gymnasts from the Tribe may receive invitations to participate in the prestigious Winter Cup, which is set to take place from February 19-23, providing an excellent opportunity for gymnasts to showcase their skills on a grand stage.
The competitive landscape will continue with a dual meet at Simpson on March 2, before the Tribe returns to its home turf. They will finish their regular season with two crucial home competitions at Kaplan Arena, where they will host Navy on March 8 and Greenville/Oklahoma on March 15, both of which are expected to draw large crowds.
Moreover, Navy is set to host the USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championship, taking place on March 28-29, while Simpson will be the venue for the ECAC Championship on April 5. These championships will be essential for furthering the gymnastic careers of many athletes.
The ultimate goal for William & Mary’s gymnastics team will be to qualify for the prestigious NCAA Championships, which will be held in Michigan on April 18-19, where they will compete against some of the best teams in the nation for a chance to make their mark in collegiate gymnastics.
