CIUDAD JUÁREZ.- During the last weeks at least 27 cases of tuberculosis inside the State Cereso number 3 of Ciudad JuárezChihuahua.
As a result, the decision was made to create an isolation zone to prevent the cases from spreading to more inmates of the prison.
According to the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), and the Penitentiary System, within the Cereso, 27 active cases of tuberculosis were registered this month, of which 15 reached the intensive phase.
Given these facts, the SSPE took the measure to prevent the spread of the diseasethrough which it keeps 16 people deprived of liberty (PPL) under preventive isolation in a medical area, while the rest do not represent any risk and are under treatment.
Medical personnel from the prison in Juárez have cared for inmates with this disease. So far no deaths have been reported due to this situation.
In turn, it was confirmed to this medium that no diseases such as Covid or dengue have been reported within State Cereso number 3 in Ciudad Juárez.
