Caribes de Anzoátegui will seek starting Tuesday, November 5, to resume the good rhythm it showed at home, the Alfonso “chico” Carrasquel stadium in Puerto La Cruz, after a negative week on the road.

La Tribu closed the fourth week of action of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) with one victory (against Tiburones de La Guaira) and four losses (one against Navegantes del Magallanes, another against Cardenales de Lara and a pair with Águilas del Zulia). In addition, one of the commitments with the red birds was suspended due to rain, so there are already three rescheduled challenges in the harvest.

Those led by Morgan Ensberg went from fourth place to last with the four consecutive falls and now have a balance of 7-10, 3.5 games from first place, held by the shark team (12-8).

Offensive blackout

After scoring up to 10 runs against the ninth team to win 10-4 on Tuesday, Caribes went into a notable offensive blackout. In the next four matches he could barely make seven lines and that ended up being one of the causes of the bad streak.

Additionally, the aboriginal troop allowed 22 scores and 18 of them were among the last four duels, which ended up counting as losses.

The eastern currency needs to return to the path of victory to avoid falling out of the fight for classification. For this, it is vital that they show themselves solid in “the hut”, such as in the third week, in which they added three laurels and one setback, combined with a couple of conquests over Bravos de Margarita in the second week.

The Anzoatiguense team will play a total of six games at home. First they will clash twice with Tiburones de La Guaira (Tuesday and Wednesday), while they will host Águilas del Zulia from Thursday to Sunday, in a series of four consecutive challenges.

**Interview with Sports Analyst, Juan Pérez**

**Editor**: Welcome, Juan! Let’s talk about the upcoming game between Águilas del⁣ Zulia and‌ Caribes de Anzoátegui on November 2, 2024. ‍Caribes has⁤ struggled offensively lately. What do you think they need to do ⁢to‌ turn things around?

**Juan Pérez**: Thank ⁤you for having me! Yes, it’s been a rough stretch for Caribes, scoring only seven runs over the last 36 innings is definitely concerning. They need to focus on their batting approach. Solid contact and patience⁢ at the plate will be essential. They must⁢ also look for ways to capitalize‍ on any mistakes from the opposing pitchers.

**Editor**: They are set ‌to ⁣play at ‍home next‍ week after‍ a tough road trip. Do you ⁢think the home advantage⁣ will play a significant role in their performance?

**Juan‍ Pérez**: Absolutely. Playing at Alfonso “Chico” Carrasquel ⁣Stadium ⁢can bring a lift to the ‍players’ morale. Familiarity ‌with the field and the support of the‌ home crowd can be a huge advantage. It’s ⁢an opportunity for them to regroup and regain some confidence.

**Editor**: With the current state of their⁣ offense, what⁤ specific⁢ adjustments do you expect from ⁣the coaching staff during practice leading up to the game?

**Juan Pérez**:‌ I anticipate they’ll be focusing on situational hitting⁤ in practice. ⁢They‌ need to work on driving runners in with less than two outs and making adjustments based‌ on game situations. It’s all about getting back to fundamentals—hitters⁢ rising to the occasion when it matters most.

**Editor**: What do you think ‍the key to ⁤victory will be for Caribes if they⁢ want to break their scoring slump against Águilas del Zulia?

**Juan Pérez**: The key⁢ will be their ability to get ⁣on base consistently. They need their top of the lineup to get on and ⁢create scoring opportunities. Also, finding gaps in the defense and producing situational hits will be ⁣critical. ⁤If ⁢their hitters can execute, we could see a turnaround in their performance.

**Editor**: Thanks for your insights, Juan. We’ll be sure to watch ⁣how ⁤Caribes approaches this crucial⁣ game!

**Juan Pérez**: My pleasure! I’m looking forward to⁣ it as well.
