It’s practically wintertime in Disney World!
The Snow Family is ready for winter!
Throughout the enchanting parks, we’ve begun to see a delightful array of Christmas decorations sprucing up the atmosphere, while intricately crafted gingerbread sculptures are taking form at several of the exquisite resorts. The magic of the season will officially kick off with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, set to commence on November 8th. However, the most conspicuous sign that winter is drawing near in Disney World is the enormous “blizzard” that has recently swept across one of the water parks, signaling a season of snowy fun!
After a lengthy seasonal hiatus, Blizzard Beach is officially open once again! This imaginative winter wonderland-themed water park has been closed since March 17th, as its tropical counterpart, Typhoon Lagoon, enjoyed a bustling summer season. Now, the tropical-themed water park has shuttered its doors for refurbishment, making way for the frosty charm of Blizzard Beach.
Blizzard Beach on reopening day November 4th!
Intrigued by the excitement, Sage and Quincy from AllEars TV ventured over to experience the festivities on opening day at Blizzard Beach. The park welcomes visitors daily from 10 AM to 5 PM, promising thrills and spills for everyone who’s eager to hit the slopes!
It’s OPEN!
Despite the chilly “blizzard” conditions, Sage appeared just a tad cold but was quickly warmed by the radiant Florida sun!
Let’s go tubing!
Blizzard Beach offers an exciting array of attractions, including a massive wave pool, the exhilarating Summit Plummet, family-friendly Tike’s Peak, competitive Toboggan Racers, and the relaxing Melt Away Bay, among other thrilling features. It’s undoubtedly a fantastic water park to enjoy, creating memories for families and friends alike!
Relax on the beach or plummet down Summit Plummet
Throughout the park, guests can indulge in a variety of delectable snacks, refreshing coffee, frozen beverages, and quick-service dining locations to rejuvenate during their adventurous day of fun. Don’t miss the famous Joffrey’s Mini Donuts for a sweet treat!
Starting in January 2025, Disney World hotel guests will be thrilled to learn that they will receive a complimentary water park ticket to enjoy on their check-in day. Given that Blizzard Beach typically operates during the winter months, this allows guests to experience the snowy-themed water park for free when this exciting perk begins!
Ski you on the slopes!
Since 2020, the two water parks have efficiently operated on staggered schedules. In contrast to previous years when both parks would open simultaneously for the summer and one would close for winter, we now typically see just one water park in operation at a time. Appropriately, Blizzard Beach remains open in the late Fall and Winter, while Typhoon Lagoon welcomes guests from Spring through early Fall. For the moment, our focus will be on enjoying all that Blizzard Beach has to offer!

**Editor:** Hi Sage! It’s great to have you on our show. Blizzard Beach has officially reopened for the season! How does it feel to be there on opening day?
**Sage:** Thanks for having me! It feels absolutely amazing to be back at Blizzard Beach. The atmosphere is so festive, and even though it’s supposed to be “winter,” the Florida sun has been bright and warm, which is a nice contrast to the snowy theme!
**Editor:** That sounds like a fun combination! We hear there are some exciting new festive decorations around the park. What are your thoughts?
**Sage:** Yes, the decorations are incredible! There are holiday lights everywhere, and the park is adorned with Christmas spirit. It’s a unique experience swimming among the snow-covered peaks and seeing all the festive touches.
**Editor:** You mentioned the activities—what are some of the must-try attractions at Blizzard Beach this season?
**Sage:** Oh, there are so many! The massive wave pool is always a hit, but I also love the lazy river; it’s perfect for relaxing while enjoying the scenery. Plus, the waterslides here are thrilling—especially the ones that make you feel like you’re racing down a snowy mountain!

**Sage:** It was electric! Everyone was so excited to kick off the winter season at Blizzard Beach again. There was a buzz in the air as families were reunited with their favorite attractions. You could really feel the joy of the holiday season starting to unfold.
**Editor:** And despite the water park’s winter theme, you mentioned feeling a bit cold at first. How did you manage that?
**Sage:** (laughs) Yes! The “chilly” blizzard conditions took me by surprise. But thankfully, the warm Florida sun helped me warm right up. Swimming in the wave pool definitely did the trick too!
**Editor:** Fantastic! Before we wrap up, do you have any tips for guests planning to visit Blizzard Beach this winter?
**Sage:** Absolutely! I recommend getting there early to enjoy as many rides as you can before the lines build. Plus, don’t forget to check out the holiday festivities around the park—they really enhance the whole experience. And of course, sunscreen is a must, even in winter!

**Sage:** Thank you! It’s going to be a wonderful season, and I can’t wait to dive back into the fun.
