THE CHANGE GAP…!
This month of October that ended was brutal for the exchange rate movement because the differential shot up by 22% between the official dollar and the parallel dollar that is now taking the Euro as a reference according to the commercial rate well above 47 Bolívars. It is said that given the shortage of dollars offered by the BCV in Christmas times, temporary imports appear depressed and hit the pockets of consumers who need more bolivars for their purchases in an also depressed economy. The official supply of foreign currency fell and given the post-election political uncertainty, the demand for dollars increased, leading to an increase in the price of the currency. The curious thing is that private banks are flush with dollars but keep them in reserve while they receive their dollars from the BCV for their financial adventures for their own benefit.

LEARN TO SAY “NO”…
Many years ago I read a book entitled “Don’t say YES when you want to say NO” which invited us to be more realistic and consistent with ourselves in our human behavior. Today the topic comes to mind because many people find it difficult to set limits. The reasons? Among others, the fear of being excluded, of creating a negative image of themselves or the need to be complacent with those around them, for not daring to say “enough” without realizing that this gives rise to the other party’s tendency to towards manipulation for their nefarious and perverse purposes. The only way to build healthy bonds is to honestly respect your own and others’ limits. Many times we are not educated to say NO in a kind or assertive way but rather to please others without considering our own emotions and desires.

Normally it is thought that we are selfish or bad people if we refuse to do something to prioritize what others want or demand without valuing what we can really feel honestly and bravely about what we want or don’t want in part because we are always seeking the approval of others. others without understanding what affects us, accumulating discomfort in our life and emotional health, even damaging our self-esteem and creating self-sabotage ourselves. The counterpart evaluates their ambushes to use us in our good faith for their unspeakable purposes until “the blowout” comes and with it the problem, the dispersion and the disagreements pronounced by the game of interests. In conclusion, learning to say NO could be positive in our lives, according to experts in neuropsychological science.

●●● MANY PSEUDO LEADERS do not want to understand that their times have passed. They have been execrated for their mercantilist adventures in the political game of their parties, which are already preparing their few and ephemeral cadres for the 2025 elections as if nothing were happening. The country has changed and new regional and municipal leaders will come to assume positions. What will the Catatumbo Lightning say?

●●● THE PURPLE BROTH?… The gringos are playing their pressure game on the NMaduro government through Gustavo Petro and Lula Da Silva who seem distanced from their former brother from the Sao Paulo Forum. Agreements for underground investigations are doing their part to soften the hearts of both leaders who previously played in favor of their friend NMaduro. Donald Trump’s result will define the political game from Nov. 5.

●●● RE-ELECTION OF PROSECUTOR TARECK W SAAB could be seen coming. He has a lot of work to do before the ICC. And they need it!

●●● REFLECTION: Success is not about winning all the battles, but about having the strength to continue fighting until you win. Waiting until you reach the appropriate point at the right time is the strategic praxis that leads to success.

●●● OUR PRAYERS TODAY to our faithful ancestral deceased who gave us all their unselfish love for our mental, spiritual and physical growth. In Memoriam of my grandmother María Eustacia Aranguren, my beloved uncles Angela Rosa, Hermes de Jesús, Oliva Graciela, my honorable father Numa Pompilio Aranguren, other cousins and my sacred wife Magaly Coromoto just 21 months after her earthly disappearance to join the infinite world heavenly next to The Most High.

●●● BLESSINGS TO ALL…

**Interview with Economic Analyst, Dr. Mariana Torres, about the Current Exchange ⁣Rate Situation in Venezuela**

**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, Dr. Torres. With the recent exchange rate fluctuation, where we saw a significant 22% increase in the differential⁢ between the official dollar and the parallel dollar, what does this⁢ mean for the average consumer in Venezuela?

**Dr. Mariana Torres:** Thank you for having me.⁣ The increase⁤ in the differential is ⁢a direct reflection of the economic⁤ instability that we’re witnessing.‍ For the average Venezuelan ‌consumer, this⁢ exacerbates the already challenging conditions. As the parallel dollar rate‍ rises—now⁣ over‌ 47 Bolívars—it⁤ forces consumers to ‌spend more bolívars for goods and services, further straining their limited financial resources. This ‍situation is catalyzed by a decreased supply ⁣of foreign currency⁣ from the⁢ BCV‌ (Central Bank of Venezuela), particularly as‍ we approach the holiday ‌season,⁣ which ⁤promotes higher demand but constrained supply.

**Interviewer:** You ‍mentioned the role of the ‌BCV ‍and private banks in this situation. Could you elaborate on how their actions influence this exchange rate dilemma?

**Dr. Mariana Torres:** Certainly. The BCV’s limited supply of dollars combined with political uncertainties post-election has led to increased demand for foreign ⁢currency. Interestingly, while private ⁤banks are reportedly holding onto significant reserves of dollars, they remain hesitant to release them into the market. This creates a paradox where, ⁤even though there’s liquidity, it isn’t accessible to consumers. The banks ‍are ⁤prioritizing their ⁤profits ‍and financial strategies over aiding the public, which‍ is highly detrimental to economic recovery.

**Interviewer:** Switching⁣ gears a⁢ bit, your recent insights suggest a societal need ⁣for⁣ people to assert their boundaries by learning to⁤ say “no.”‍ How does this relate to the current economic climate?

**Dr. Mariana Torres:** Learning to say “no” is critical in personal economies,⁢ much ‍like‌ it is in broader economic contexts. Individuals ‍must set limits to prevent being ⁤exploited⁣ by circumstances that prioritize short-term gain over long-term⁣ well-being. In an economy where‍ financial decisions are often influenced by fear⁣ of exclusion or attempts ⁢to please others, people can become trapped into ⁢making choices that harm their⁣ financial health. It’s ⁤important for individuals to recognize their worth and ⁢assert their needs, just as ‍we ⁤need systemic ⁢changes that value economic transparency ⁢and accountability.

**Interviewer:** That’s a profound observation. As we look ahead to the potential political changes and challenges with upcoming elections in 2025, what do you foresee in terms of ⁤economic‌ recovery?

**Dr. Mariana Torres:** The recovery will largely depend on how political dynamics evolve and whether new leaders can bring about necessary ‍reforms. Many ⁤existing ⁤leaders are perceived as out of touch‍ with the current realities of Venezuela. The engagement of new ‍regional leaders, combined with broader dialogues both domestically ⁢and internationally,⁢ could⁤ provide fresh perspectives ‌and solutions. However, success hinges significantly‍ on the government’s willingness to implement genuine changes and work ⁣collaboratively with the private sector.

**Interviewer:** Thank you, Dr. Torres, for your insights today.‍ It’s clear that the intersection of economic⁢ and psychological perspectives is vital⁢ for understanding the challenges faced by Venezuelans today.

**Dr. Mariana Torres:**⁢ Thank you for ‌the opportunity to ⁣discuss these critical issues. It’s essential that we continue to raise awareness and advocate⁣ for‍ both economic ⁢stability and personal empowerment.
